The owners were great. They made great suggestions on things to see in the area. The room was comfortable and the heat worked. The food was good. The restaurant was decorated with antiques and old alcohol bottles, very quint. Take time to get to know the owners.

If you want to see the Las Médulas World Heritage site, the Mirador of Orellán is the best place to start your visit, because from there you get a great view of the whole area, and it's a good starting point for hiking.
The best food in Orellán is at the O Palleiro Do Pe do Forno rural hotel, make sure you reserve a table for dinner.

A stone throw from Las Medulas, you can actually walk to the spectacular viewpoint. Authentic Galician village and surroundings. At Palleiro d’o pe d’o forno you can have a great stay and a fantastic meal. Great base for Las Medulas.
A bit further down the road is the lake, which allows for a nice swim after a meal at Meson El Lago, another one of my favourite haunts in the area.

Loved the facility— so classic for the area and exceptionally well built. The hotel Is rural so you won’t find anything nearby but in 20-30 minutes there is a lot—Las Médulas, vistas, lake swimming and castle and Lots of walking - which was exactly why we chose this place. The owner works very hard to ensure a good visit.
The food was amazing, I wish I could have stayed longer to be able to taste every single dish at dinner.
Isabel is a lovely host, very friendly, helpful and communicative.
The room was pleasant, comfortable and very clean, the wifi generally worked well.
Parking was easy in front of the building.
The location of the hotel/guesthouse is perfect, I liked the village of Orellán much more than Las Médulas (and the Mirador of Orellán is an absolute must if you visit this area)
Super location. I would rate it as the best in the area. right to the left up the road about 0.5 km to parking and 150-meter walk to one of the most spectacular Spain's historical sites, Roman Gold mines dating circa 50BC. accommodations were very pleasant. Breakfast and dinner were well done and v good. Other regional sites very close, 1000 ad Templar Knight's castle and more. A must area and, for us, a super hotel to stay at. Don't miss it if you are traveling NW Spain!
What a nice place to be! A small but well decorated and clean room close to Las Medulas. Very super extraordinary!!! nice owners who cooked a very good and authenthic meal for me for dinner and also served a typical spanish breakfast for me (allone). Definitely a place to stay when exploring the wonderfull region of Las Medulas and El Bierzo. The Orellan view point is only 5 minutes by car and gives best views on Las Medulas UNESCO World Heritage site.
Isabella and her husband made us feel very welcome. The room was very clean and comfortable and the window had a flyscreen. Great shower. Dinner and breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant were delicious.
The hotel is located just a few minutes drive from the Las Médales lookout, so a perfect location.
Isa was a wonderful & welcoming host. We arrived to a nice warm room on a cold rainy night. We had a comfortable bed in spacious, private room with a very nice bathroom. The hotel is very picturesque, they serve great food, and it's a perfect location for exploring Las Médulas! We shall return.
The property is in Orellan, very close to the “mirador de Orellan” and “las galerías de Orellan “, so a perfect location to get a panoramic view of las médulas. The little village itself it’s lovely, quiet and welcoming. We loved walking down the streets.
located near Mirador de Orellan which is a truly beautiful area. Good value accommodation. Small but not an issue if you are staying for a few days or don't spend much time in your room. Breakfast good. Plenty of parking and easy to park.
Beautiful room, new and modern bathroom combined with excellent location, great service, wonderful food (optional) - at a great price. Only about 3 minutes drive to the Mirador de Orellan, one of if not the best spot to see the Las Médulas.
