Great city! So much to see and do. Lots of people, lots of energy. Prices are creeping up, though the food is universally excellent. The transportation in and around the city is excellent. I enjoyed all the nooks and crannies of the neighborhoods so much history. I ate at La Posada de la Vina, Excellent! Food great, staff great and an excellent value. I really wanted to like Hotel Mora, good location, helpful staff. The bathrooms were terrible.

Probably the best city to visit in Europe if you want a combination of art, museums, good food and great nightlife, all to reasonable prices. Stay close to Retiro park that allows you to relax by walking or jogging in a quiet haven in the middle of the bustling city.

Madrid was not what we expected.
Madrid was not what we expected. Madrid is very dirty and full of graffiti.
The food was disappointing and so was the fact they charge you for everthing, including water & bread. Even for appetizers you did not order, but they just serve you. From the local restaurants to the fancy (El Botin). In conclusion our stay in Madrid was not memorable only disappointing. Barcelona was a better expirence, as was Seville.

Madrid is one of my favorite cities. It has so much modern side and History at the same time. I love how much life you can find in it. It has a lot of art, fashion , popular places, shopping ans good spanish food. I am such a fan of this city
Hotel is in a great location within 5-15 min walk from places like Gran Via, Royal Palace and the Plaza Mayor. Room was clean and reasonable size with a comfy double bed. Staff were great and very helpful especially when I requested a late check out as my flight home was not until 9pm so they offered an extra 3 hours free of charge when I was only expecting maybe 1 hour extra. Price of the hotel is excellent considering the quality of the hotel (4 Star) and you are in the centre of a major city centre
As opposed to some of the reviews i read, I found this to be a great close to the airport stay. Some complained about the lack of elevator if you can't carry a bag up a few stairs maybe you should stay at home and the language in Spain is Spanish, learn a few words. There was great places to eat in a park setting just a short walk from hostel. A taxi from or to the airport is €20 so the hotel offers that service free I am 77 and just walked the camino so this stay was perfect
I was traveling for 15 days in Spain and France, and I stayed in 5 stars hotel suite rooms or family rooms in comparison with those luxury 5 stars hotels this apartment was Very clean and was well designed and equipped with high-quality stuff. Refrigerator and washing machines and microwave, everything was in the apartment and all stuff was clean. Air condition worked better than in 5-star well-known hotels. We are very sensitive to cleanliness and it was very clean.
This was indeed one of the greatest hotels we ever booked. It is more like a 5 stars hotel, not only a 4 stars. The reception staff are very welcoming, especially Carlos. He greeted us and offered recommendations on what to explore and where to eat in Madrid. He also upgraded our room with a view to the Gran Via. In addition to having comfy rooms, the hotel is in the hub of Madrid: walking distance to metro station, and very near to all Madrid attractions.
The room: beds are really comfy, shower is very nice! And breakfast is really a must. We were not sure about the location since we feared it was far from city centre but we then were very surprised how well connected is with city centre. The hotel is in residential area, quiet and away from the noise of city centre for good sleep but easily connected with metro to main stations, so we really recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Madrid!
There are few hotels where you can say everything was flawless (except for our key cards not working once), and this is one of them. On top of that the location is excellent being directly in the city centre whilst they manage to keep the rooms wonderfully quiet. The walls were a little bit thin but much better than the typical hotel standard. The bar on top of the hotel was a nice reprieve from the overcrowded bars of Madrid
We stayed room only as we wanted to eat a local breakfast, room was really nice, fab bathroom and shower, plenty of space. Location is perfect for exploring the city, as it was our first visit to Madrid it was easy to walk around the city from this hotel. It was easy and cheap to transfer from the airport to the city centre via the underground, it takes around 30 mins.
The hotel is very well located in the centre of Madrid, with a good metro connection to the airport. Gran Via and Moncloa within walking distance from the hotel, nice places to eat around. The host is friendly. No problem with noise from the street (we had a room in the back). The bathroom was clean. The room was small, but ok. A good option for this price.
The location was amazing, in the middle of Gran Vía, a short minute's walk to every sight, and close to the metro as well. The hotel is very modern. The room was very clean, with great amenities. Fantastic, American-style hotel located just a few minutes (by car) from Barajas Airport. Short walk from a subway station (Barajas) and from a gasoline station. Inside beautiful decor, huge comfortable rooms and one the best breakfast buffets in Spain. Easy on-site parking, windows open for air. Great price.

Nice Hotel in the city centre of Madrid. All the highlights are on walking distance. (approx. 10min). It is next the st. anna square which has a lot of nice bars and restaurant.
