We did not eat at the facilities due to poor vegan diet option. Room was nice

The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the center on the waterfront. Nice room, with shower and toilet. Heating (in winter) can be adjusted to your liking. Very friendly staff.

The room had a balcony you could sit out on, and right down the street was the shore. From there, it's a beautiful walk along pedestrian paths to the Empuries -- just follow the shore. The (surcharge) breakfast was beautifully laid out, with outstanding variety of pastries and staples -- and was fun to eat. Lobby was stylish, reception desk was friendly and professional.
Facing the beachfront, Hotel Voramar offers 4-star accommodations in L'Escala and has a terrace, restaurant and bar.

We just spent the last 3 weeks traveling throughout France, Italy, Spain, and Andorra and this hotel was our favorite accommodation by far! The town was so cute and charming and surrounded by the most breathtaking countryside. Everyone was nice. We accidentally woke up to the most beautiful sunrise. I highly recommend this hotel and getting a sea view room. We just stayed here one night, but we are already dreaming of coming back to L’Escala and spending a few days at Hotel Voramar.

Beautiful property. We loved the room and the property exuded charm.
The location was great just a few minutes from the water and on Sunday there was an amazing flea market.

Very clean rooms and looked to be recently updated. The mattress is as so comfortable. My room was small but cozy.

L'Escala is a quiet beach resort with mostly French tourists (some staff had limited English but were very friendly and willing to help, and welcoming with children!). The Riells beach is large and clean with soft sand, there is a smaller beach in the nearby Old Town. It can be windy. The funfair/amusement park is not open until June. A car is useful, but there is also a tourist train going to Montgo beach and Empuries medieval village (both beautiful!)

a very beautiful town, some places reminded Greece, white houses, clear sea, seagulls everywhere. Water was cold in May but lots of people swam. Long promenade along the beaches, full of restaurants and bars for any taste, lots of rocks by the shore for kids to climb on.
Centre of the village isn't accessible for cars, so we had to carry luggage with us from the parking.
We stayed in the centre, it is lively until very late in the evening, lots of people and dogs walking, kids playing.
We liked all restos we ate at, maybe Glop was overrated, we had to reserve table in advance and it was nothing special at all, burger wasn't great. Italian place Tagliatella was much better, thinnest crust pizzas I ever tried

L'Escala is a lovely town, we stayed in the old town at the northern end which has more charm and ambience that the newer part near the port which is more like a standard resort with large holiday apartment blocks. The standard of the restaurants in general is very good. To really appreciate the locality it probably is best to hire a car. However, it is possible to enjoy visiting L'Escala without one also. We visited Figures, Girona, the Roman and Greek ruins in Empuries and also the pretty little village of St. Marti D'Empuries without a car.

This was my fifth visit to l'Escala.
This was my fifth visit to l'Escala. A lovely town, great for walking/cycling excursions. Lots of beaches, woodland and the ruins of Empuries. Coastal walks to the south, old coastal defence bunkers, secluded coves...there's plenty to do and see here. A wide variety of restaurants and bars, all within easy walking distance. Well worth visiting.

Very nice sea, especially for those who like snorkelling.
Very nice sea, especially for those who like snorkelling. The deep sea offers you various kind of fish who just do not escape from you. I had also seen this kind of fish friendship in Hurgada (Egypt). Very nice spot to moore for yachts. The next time I'll hire a yacht and moore in this bay. The nature is wild, windy and mostly rocky. The only sand is accumulated inside the bay where people enjoy sunbathing and swimming. The vicinity of L'Escala is plenty of attractions. One can climb to tower of Montgo (Torre de Montgo) to see the bay from high. Spectacular view. The restaurant Can Miquel is one of the best in the bay, but one needs to make a booking at least from 2-3 days before to take a table in outside.

So much to do, with many little beaches, beautiful old town and newer further along the cove. Restaurants and bars are a plenty! Great for kids with lots of fun things happening in the summer months but also fab for just you :)
This is a wonderfully run hotel in an excellent location by Montgo Bay , just a little way out of the town of L’Escala.
Everything and everyone was really first rate.
The adjoining restaurant was really good and you could order off the menu del dia if staying at the hotel for an excellent 3 course dinner including wine for around 18 € per head.
Beautiful views on sea and river just next to the ruins of Empuriabrava, but still quite out of the main crowd. There was exceptionally kind personal, they prepared for me gluten free breakfast with variety options too, as I can’t eat gluten. This didn’t happen to me even in 4-star hotel. Will definitely come back if I get a chance.
Perfectly located studio apartment in L'escala. Around a 2km walk to L'escala old town along the gorgeous promenade meant that our location felt local and quiet. Free parking and well equipped kitchen for self catering. We thoroughly enjoyed our week long vacation in the Costa Brava with Estudio Rosimar as our base.
Hotel quality bed and bedding.
Very comfortable bed
Small but functional lounge area with a big decent TV should you wish to watch it.
Very responsive host when we had a problem getting the heater to work
Nice terrace but at this time of year gets very little sun
Easy private and secure parking
I should not promote such lovely place if being selfish...
To compare with Le Meridien Monaco, which was my most favorite hotel, this location beats all! You have the feeling being on Hawai with the view, the lay back atmosphere, the excellent service, the lovely staff... WOW!
Loved all
Amazing place with an amazing hosts. I was surprised about this hotel- the room was so big, I have a sea view, modern, comfortable, clean - for this money it’s a treasure!. Perfect location.Very good surved breakfast. Very good communication about arrival time, parking etc.
The location right on the beach is amazing ; the walkway to the village is great ; the spa of the hotel is wonderful amd the restaurant options in the area are amazing
It is an a wonderful romantic place and we also had a fabulous stay with 3 generations together
Front desk staff were wonderful in arranging a taxi to send our bags ahead for E40.00 to the next hotel as we were hiking the GR92. We did this all along the route and it worked great.
The location and hotel is fabulous.
Lovely room, simply but elegantly styled. Excellent shower! Great location and uncovered paying parking right in front of hotel - free for four hour lunch period. Polite, charming and efficient staff.
Room was fine. Beds were very good. Views of the sea are limited by several buildings. We stayed in late Spring, the area was very quiet, but probably a lot busier in Summer
