It's good value for money, relative to the sky high prices in the center of Barcelona. It's a bit of a way out of the center, but that's no problem. Barcelona has an excellent unified public transport system. A travel card can be bought which allows the use of the underground metro, tram and bus services. The hotel is thus just half an hour or from the city center by public transport.
Another plus of the location is it's position halfway between the city center and the airport. Easy and fast access over a short and uncongested distance.
The hotel itself is new and modern, and very clean. A continental buffet breakfast can be bought for 6 Euros - great value, with a nice variety of items to choose from.

Unfortunately, the photos were deceiving as the hotel was more of a hostel. The room was okay in size but the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. The linen was old and tatty, there were no amenities such as a simple hairdryer (I visited mid-December and had to air-dry my hair), the towels were of such low quality they did not dry, and finally, the walls of the room were so thin, while I was in bed I could head the staff in the corridor discussing having to wait longer to clean until I left- I rightfully stayed there until check-out time at 12. When you leave the hotel, you have to leave the keys at reception; honestly, id rather skip the interaction. And finally, the lift was not working, thankfully I was only on the first floor... The one positive was the shower pressure, 10/10.

Our family more or less only slept in the hotel - it was more than enough for what we needed. The airconditioning worked; the water to shower was hot, with no shortage of it. The towels have been changed daily. The hotel is easy reachable by public transport (bus, TRAM, metro). Near the hotel are a lot of possibilities to eat, with prices comparable or lower than in central Barcelona... Wi-Fi worked well. You can wash your clothes next door.
Staff was awesome and helpful. They helped me with every question. I'd come back without thinking. And the bed? I had back pain for 3 days. But after the first night in the hotel? Poof. Like magic. No pain at all! Also, I was afraid of the distance to the city center at first but public transport there is perfect and I had no troubles. The location actually allowed me to explore extra interesting places in the city.
Hotel Lamy has recently been renovated and offers an outstanding value for money. The rooms are small, but not too small. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom modern and clean. Overall, the rooms are very clean. The experience is actually more of a no-frills hotel, do not expect a crowded hostal with dorms, that's not what this is about here.
The recent renovation of the rooms and reception is really nice, the staff and the service is always excellent, the receptionist is always giving the right answer and with a smile, it is a nice and easy hotel that I recommend.

Having lived in the area before, we were comfortable staying a bit outside of Barcelona. Very easy connections into Barcelona via tram and bus. impeccably clean. Near a few options for food and groceries.
Very clean with a friendly staff. Location was a bit far from the city but easy to get to the city center via Tram and Metro with Hola Barcelona Transport card. Hotel was 15 Minutes from the Airport.
Hotel is about 10 Min Taxi drive from Airport. I took Cabify Taxi Service. Late arrival was no problem. Reception has 24/7 Service. Staff very helpful and friendly. Cheap breakfast from 3€ available..
Very clean, comfortable, it actually has more of the look and feel of a hotel than a hostel, elevator, the staff was dressed professionally and I think they offered 24hr reception service.
Quite close to public transport (approx 500 m to tram or bus, no metro nearby). With single bus you can get to Plaza Catalonya or Camp Nou
