El Prat de Llobregat is a name familiar to all those arriving in Barcelona by air, as it’s the site of Barcelona Airport. The thousands of passengers who take advantage of cheap flights from low cost airlines and international carriers pass through one of Europe’s busiest passenger terminals.
Many head straight for the Catalan capital via the on-site train station and end up missing the attractions of El Prat de Llobregat itself. A golf club covers the narrow strip of land between the airport and the sandy, Mediterranean beach which extends all the way to Castelldefels in one direction, and the mouth of the Llobregat River in the other. There is also a nature reserve which offers views towards Montjuic hill.
Also set by the river in the foothills of mountains is Sant Boi de Llobregat, whose skyline is dominated by the belltower of its simple church. It is connected by train and underground to central Barcelona, as is Hospitalet de Llobregat, where the historic centre buildings contrast with innovative skyscrapers. The most notable structure of Cornellà de Llobregat is the Miranda Tower which is beautifully lit at night.

The hotel was perfect for an early morning flight out of Barcelona airport. Facilities were great and an early breakfast (5am) was available. Only improvement would be slightly improved sign posting in the airport or more clarity that the hotel is in the business centre.

Difficult to find. No signage. Street was a very empty “back alley” in a light industrial area. Host was using pencil and paper to record our personal information on arrival. Shared bathroom was far too small for a facility with 6-10 rooms!! This property should not be listed on booking.com - it is well below normal standards of listed hotels!!

Plus breakfast starts at 4h30 for early birds, extra bed for children is for free, you have to inform them. 10 minutes walking from the plain to the hotel reception.
Updated room, big bath, great shower, coffee/tea in the room.

Personally for me, what is good about El Prat is its...
Personally for me, what is good about El Prat is its localization near the airport.. but there is one bad thing about it: there is no safe access to the airport by foot at night. It so near the airport that you could literally walk there and you would think that it will be the best place to stay when flying in or out at night but its not, because you have to still use public transport to reach it, during the day: metro (5:00-0:00) and at night: night buses N19 form T2, T1 or N17 from T1. So the its localization is not such a big advantage - couple few minutes more on the bus or metro is not a big deal. Be aware that at night the ways by foot from T2 to the town are either through a dark town park and industrial area or by some rough shady paths - use night buses N19 (every 30 minutes) or N17 (every 15 minutes but only from T1).

A reasonable option if you need to stay overnight near Barcelona Airport or if you are visiting El Prat de Llobregat. 10-minute walk from a short metro trip to both T1 and T2. Just remember to buy a special airport ticket.. Taxi about 20-25€ from airport.

Set in a quiet residential area of a dormitory suburb of Barcelona but with shops and food and drink options quite close by.
The hotel is located at terminal 1 of Barcelona airport so perfect for those flying out early in the morning or, as in our case, flying in after midnight. As to be expected for an airport hotel, rooms are not particularly cheap, but the price was ok given that breakfast was included. Breakfast was good (for a continental one) and included cheese, hams, pastries, fresh juice, etc. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
My Wizz Air flight to Barcelona was cancelled, and I notified the hotel one hour prior to my planned arrival (when they took us back to the terminal after they delayed and then cancelled the flight). Airhostel returned money for my pre-paid bed, I really appreciate that. Next time need to spend a night at the airport, I will choose them again. Thank you Airhostel Barcelona!🙏
This is a nice hotel to spend the night for a long layover. We stayed here for that reason and were glad to have a nice place to sleep and shower. There is a free shuttle from and to the airport. When you arrive at the airport go all the way to the end of the white canopy. It says "the middle" in the email they send you, but it is towards the end.
Great hotel really close to airport and train station with your pick of local bars and cafes all around.Room was very clean and comfortable.Beautiful little terrace/garden area with access to bar and the hosts are very friendly and accommodating.I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely come back.
The location of the hotel is very good if you arrive in Barcelona late in the evening or are leaving early in the morning, as the El Prat airport (Terminal 2) is only 3 km away. Comfortable spacious bathroom. The staff in the reception was ready to help. An they spoke English :)
NIce hostel with friendly helpful staff in quiet El Prat, which is near to Barcelona airport. Cosy bar next in a coartyard with nice music. Informative staff at reception that are willing to help you out with anything. Convenient if you need to get an early flight.
