Location was good. Easy to get taxi or bus. Great view. Could also walk easily to old city.

A great neighbourhood to experience authentic life in another country and culture. Weekends are festive in the area with lots of activity at the local bars and cafes. Not many tourists around though... more elderly population noticeable.
As for the location, there was very less delivery companies around (like just 1 :) ). Finding food or restaurant after 18:00 was a bit difficult. Derio is a small district however most of the technological companies are there. So at the working hours there was no problem however for dinner you have to have a car to go and eat. Or you just have to take the same restaurant beside the facility.
Another problem was the mosquitos around. At one night I just killed 8 of them.

We thought Hotel New Bilbao Airport was great. Our room was huge and clean with a comfortable bed, and it had a smart modern design -- specifically, it had charging outlets on each side of the bed near the headboard. It'd be nice if all hotels had the same. The front-desk employees were great, the price was right for the beer at the small bar area, and the airport shuttle did the job at 5:10 a.m. Would recommend!
The hotel was very close to the airport with big, modern rooms and the best shower of a room I had in Europe. I was there for several hours in the afternoon and could not hear any planes overhead, so the soundproofing they brag about is excellent. The wifi was quick and reliable. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The airport shuttle was free and prompt.
We loved the convenience of the restaurant next door and the offering of a bar within the hotel. We also appreciated the close proximity to the airport. (We've stayed at "airport" hotels before that were miles and miles from the airport.)

Hotel perfectly located close to the airport with free of charge shuttle service. There is a also a bus stop in front of the hotel from where you can easily go to Bilbao city (28mins ride). Hotel is very well equipped, good breakfast and own restaurant (I didn't visit).

The hotel is close to the airport. The room had air conditioning. The shower had a good size. Quiet after midnight but during the day and in the evening planes fly over the hotel. Free parking in the hotels parking space.
