Completely renovated room, way better than expected! Very friendly staff too. City is small, the location might look deceiving, but it's really not more than 10mins walk to the historic center.

Super, super, super clean. I couldn't find a particule of dust in a corner. My congratulations to the cleaning people. Everything was new. When I say everything I mean forniture, accesories, comodities, TV, Windows, Shower, bathroom... everything. Good to have a big safe that fits my laptop. Espacious room and nice desk an confortable chair to work with my laptop. Electric blinds. Very quite place. Located in a very quite area only 10 minutes walking to the historic town. I easily found parking place near to the place. The recepcionist very kind and provided excellent advice on places to visit. She was prowd of her heritage and promoted her town very well. Breakfast was good, standard buffett served by the staff in a very clean area. The best qulity/price ratio within this area.

Ciudad Rodrigo is a lovely walled town with lots of history . We particularly enjoyed the Goya exhibition and also the very odd but hugely enjoyable Museum of Chamber pots ! The walk around the wall is really lovely and the views are amazing . We ate in Plaza Major where Menu del Dia was 15 euros .

Very disappointing especially as it was a birthday treat.
Very disappointing especially as it was a birthday treat. Booked a double room and got a twin. Very small, dark room with old fashioned bathroom with many broken tiles. Rubbish for the money. No better room offered despite being lots of empty rooms. Breakfast order was wrong. Waited over half an hour for eggs and then the order was wrong again. Staff did not seem bothered. Very over priced and the room was nothing like the one we booked and nothing like the pictures advertised.

Fantastic historical sights, all close together within city walls. Friendly people, the town came alive at night. Amazing atmosphere and felt perfectly safe. Lots of different eating places, for full meals or just coffee. No need for transport, just park the car and stroll. Take in the ambience!

As already reported the direction to the hotel could be better perhaps an email from the hotel with guidelines for travelling to the nearby car park and the short walk to the hotel The place itself is very interesting and the hotel is perfectly situated for a visit to the old town
Spectacular location and great views from the gardens of the Parador which are very beautiful.
The building is a must-see and stay
Rooms are very nice, bath-rooms very ample and well appointed. Beds nice and comfortable.
Staff is exceptionally nice, friendly, professional and helpful.
ABSOLUTELY BEYOND EXPECTATION: THE RESTAURANT!!! Fabulous quality, presentation, quantity, variety and service. Very good selection of wines and delicious traditional dishes and desserts that are very unique and known in the area.
Perfect location, exactly in the main square! If you want to visit Ciudad Rodrigo by foot then it's the place to stay. Although it's not easy to park nearby, there are enough free parking just outside the citadel. Staff was friendly. The room was clean and much bigger than expected, with a vintage-rustic-dated décor. I liked the hard-ish bed but not my partner... however we both enjoyed the silky smooth linens. Shower is in a bathtub, so do be careful when steeping in and out.
Location was ideal. The rooms were good size and having two bathrooms between three of us was helpful. The facility was well equipped for self catering and shops only 10 minutes walk away. welcome from Javi was very friendly and interesting and informative.
We managed to mess up and lock our keys inside on one day and there was no delay or trouble for the owner to come and let us in again for which we were grateful. Very cost effective as compared to hotel stay
Location was excellent, in the old walled town, five minutes walk from Plaza Mayor. The room was superb, all the faciulities you would expect in a good hotel. Nice big room overlooking the square. We did not take breakfast so cannot comment. The hotel was nice and quiet, parking was available for 10 euros a night in a secure location just behind the hotel. The gentleman on reception was extremely polite and helpful.
This was our first Parador and it was such a pleasant surprise. Not only inside the castle walls but inside a very stout tower in the walls. Classic old-world charm. Amazing decor; really feels like you're living in a castle / palace.
Great breakfast, outstanding location. Direct access to the town walls, available cheap parking, easy to walk anywhere inside.
I like Paradors. They are regularly in wonderful locations and in exceptional buildings. This one is in part of the fortified wall of a city with much history to its credit, not least in this case as a siege in the Peninsular War. Our room looked out onto the walls with views to the countryside. One can park within a walled compound which is locked at night.
The location was right in the centre of the city and just off the main square which was full of restaurants and very lovely in the evening. Also there were many beautiful historic buildings which created a good ambiance and the cathedral building was u usual and very interesting. Also the car park was just underneath the hotel and very securr
The Paradors are usually high quality establishments and this one is certainly at the top of the scale. The breakfast and diner are refined and very tasteful. The wine list complements the meals. The surroundings, in the historical Ciudad Rodrigo are memorable.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The location is excellent being only a short walk to the old town. Parking is next to the hotel. There is also a nice cafe/restaurant. I would use this hotel again.
i arrived by bus and it just a couple blocks away, although everything is relatively close in Ciudad Rodrigo. The room was very nicely decorated and comfortable. Big bathroom.
The hotel is right in the center of Ciudad Rodrigo, super clean and nice. The staff at the reception desk was very friendly and helpful. Loved the hotel and its location!
Good communication with the hotel owner before staying and easy self check in system. Heating in the room and a microwave to cook some food and fridge to store some food
Top notch room and hotel. The room was beyond spacious and well maintained even though it has its age, everything was clean and working great with a charming retro feel.
