Parador de Chinchón, hotel in Chinchón

Housed in an old convent, dating from the 17th century, this Parador hotel has kept its original character and architecture, including a magnificent cloister and gardens.

The hotel occupies a historic building, well restarted and preserved and so it’s a sight itself. The inner garden throws fresh air to the terrace and the sun comes through the big windows.

Villa Elisa Plaza Mayor, hotel in Chinchón

Located in Chinchón, 30 km from Parque Warner Madrid and 45 km from Reina Sofia Museum, Villa Elisa Plaza Mayor offers air conditioning.

This is a beautifully presented duplex in an amazing location. I was more than happy to sit and watch life go by on the plaza below for hours, with a glass or two of Chinchón obviously! You can park in the plaza on certain days and also had the option to park in a secure garage just up the road at no extra cost. All information was communicated in a timely and professional manner by Teresa. We only stopped for two nights but wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for longer stays.

Hotel Casa Rural San Antón, hotel in Chinchón

The Hotel Casa Rural San Antón in Chinchón offers both rooms with private bathrooms and apartments with kitchens. It has free Wi-Fi and free onsite parking.

This has to be one of the most beautiful Casa's we've ever stayed in. Our room was a good size, spotlessly clean with a lovely ensuite. Parking is easy with a free car park directly opposite the front door. Its a short walk down to the Chinchon Plaza where everything happens so location is spot on too. Our only issue is that we only stayed for one night (as we had to move on to get the ferry)..so we will be back next year and will stay more nights to enjoy this Hotel and Chinchon

Chinchon is a wonderful city just south west of Madrid, there is a bus link to the city or you can drive in which takes approx 30 mins, the bull ring with bars and restaurants is a must see, sit outside with a beer and tapa and people watch to your hearts content, the buildings are so nice dating back to the 15th century, take a walk around this wonderful place, you won't be disappointed

The Parador was a converted convent with lovely gardens and pool. Our room was spacious and comfortable - great beds and shower. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We were staying one night only as we were travelling from Bilbao to the south of Spain.

Chinchón is a little and rather relaxed town - at least during the week. On weekends, many people from Madrid come here to enjoy some days out of the city. However, you'll find an authentic Spanish medieval city center and plaza here. Moreover, Chinchón was a great starting point for our day trips with our rental car (Toledo, Alcalá de Henares, El Escorial, Aranjuez) before we went to the city center of Madrid.

We used this as a stopover on our way south from Santander. A lovely village that was full of character and at night the Plaza Mayor looks wonderful, all lit up and busy. We wanted to see the Goya painting in the church but was told it wasn't open until 19:00 and as we left mid morning it wasn't a big deal. I'd find it difficult to find things to do for a couple of days there but for a 1 day stopover it was just what we wanted - quiet, full of character and with history.

Chinchón is like stepping back in time.

Chinchón is like stepping back in time. This is just the place to come to get away from the hustle and bustle. You can really imagine a completely different way of life as you walk the cobblestone streets. This is traditional Spain.

    Lovely place to amble around.

Lovely place to amble around. Plenty of restaurants right outside hotel. Beautiful parador across the road, nice for a drink but food disappointing. The piazza was all set up for the fiesta & bull run later in month. Bought some 'fine garlic' from lovely old man stringing it up in shed on piazza. Must have been there for years.

The breakfast in the picnic basket left outside on the terrace every morning was a wonderful surprise and there was plenty of food. We loved that we could chose a different place to eat it in the garden every day. The host even made us a takeaway lunch on our last day - above and beyond! They even let us borrow their bikes to cycle into town, would 100% recommend this to anyone wanting to get away to relax and have a true Spanish experience.

It’s a great location once you find the parador in the narrow streets of Chinchón but the the end we did notice that there was small signs pointing the direction of the parador. This is our second time staying here and we love this little quaint little town. The room was very up scale it feels like we were in a 5 star hotel and the staff are very well groomed and polite. They have a very safe underground parking just around the hotel.

Nice place in historical building. Quite and comfortable. The only window faced the street, but the traffic was not busy and not disturbing. I guess if you like jacuzzi you would enjoy it, and that could be good advantage on winter. The town of Chinchon is a small place, one day is enough to explore it. Parking place is a challenge - we found one at the Cathedral up the hill.

We messaged the property about 15-20 minutes before arrival, and Lydia was there promptly to meet us. She explained everything, despite language challenges, helped us park. Very helpful. Lovely place, just meters away from the central plaza (Plaza Mayor). Many restaurants and bars there. It was a cold evening; we could get one of the 3 heaters to work, which was enough.

We loved the balcony overlooking the town’s main square/bullring. The room was spacious (we booked the spa tub suite) and had good A/C (essential in August). The checkin was easy and quick. The Wifi was good. Everything worked as it should.
