The people in the town were so friendly and the location is perfect for visiting all the other villages in the area. Ideal for walking with or without your dog (lots of cats). There is a great Indian restaurant with stunning views.

This village has a charm that is hard to explain, very rustic and the scenery is amazing. Best place to get away from the city and get some peace and quiet. Also great for hiking, there are many places to visit.

Lovely village for relaxing, The restaurants we tried served great food and was value for money. accommodation is always very well priced in early summer. great for hiking and the mountains. the local supermarket is very well priced and not hiked up for tourist. we seemed to get free tapas with every drink at the bars which was nice. this is my second visit to Capileira and i hope i have chance to go back again one day.

A lovely little town in a beautiful location with good access to mountain walks. Also good restaurants, good food shops and lots of artesian/souvenir shops. Traditional buildings and narrow streets make it very pretty. Plenty of free parking. Steep slopes everywhere might make it difficult for people with mobility or cardiovascular problems.
Ate at the Pizzeria, the Cerritos Negro and the Taverna la Trastienda de la Monja. All good but the Trastienda de la Monja was particularly good with a great range of vermouths and local wines, wonderful jamones tapas, good local stews and welcoming waiter/owner.

We could walk round the village from where we were staying, and there were plenty of excellent restaurants. We liked the Pizzarira in the church square , excellent service, very friendly, and the best pizzas we have ever had!
Staying here was magical, this was our favorite place of our Spain travels. There’s something about these mountain villages - beauty everywhere and taking a step back in time yet with modern plumbing! It’s a little rustic but has everything you need. Suggest you arrive while it’s still light out as we had some difficulty finding it in the dark. It is also a little ways from parking and has some fairly steep pathways to get to it. Fantastic views and a fountain down below with fresh mountain water.

Uncomplicated and nice hosts. We wanted an additional pillow and they gave us one.
Capileira is a very nice place to stay, very good and inexpensive restaurants, hikes from there. We stayed two nights.
Above all, Lola and Alberto were warm, kind, helpful and very welcoming.
As for the hotel: The lounge upstairs is a great place to sit and read, with a cosy fireplace in the evening. There are lots of good restaurants in Capileira, but it was great to be able to have a coffee or prepare a snack in the hotel - it made the stay very home-like.
Definitely a place to return to.

Gorgeous and ideal Location just above Capileira surrounded by marvelous views with plenty hiking trails around. Nice and cozy restaurant with delicious menu.

The staff was really friendly. The room was nice and clean (with an amazing view). Capileira is absolutely unreal town in the mountains. Trails to the mountains in spring are beutiful and weather is perfect (not too hot!).
It was so nice to find this place.

The Hostel is right in the centre of Capileira and adjacent to the bus stop and tourist information centre. I had a slightly sprained ankle and all the staff/family were very kind in using their restaurant facilities to freeze my water bottles to help me treat the injury. A large pool to cool down after hiking or a hot day.
This is a great place in the middle of Capileira which makes everything accessible. The hotel is a gem with a great sized pool and garden. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast was very good too. Finally, the staff were genuinely warm, friendly and help.
It’s a lovely apartment right in the center of Capileira, they have a restaurant which has a barbecue and we went there for dinner Saturday night and it was delicious. Very spacious and comfortable apartment, with a patio with a view of the mountains. I hope to return!
Everything - what a beautiful place! Perfectly situated in Capileira with delightful decor, well equipped for cooking and relaxing, and impeccably clean. Lovely terrace looking out to the hills. Helpful and accommodating host. Great base for hikes in the region.
Located on the main Street in Capileira. Anywhere in Capileira is historic and unique. It has mountain views from my bedroom.
It's a large apartment with your own kitchen and bathroom. Excellent value. Very basic but great value.
Right in the village, balcony facing the mountains, shutters to keep morning sun out, lovely breakfast terrace for morning coffee and sunrise, spacious room w extra fireplace heater, friendly helpful hotel manager.
Almost in the middle of town, coffee/tea/water in the hallway for free, friendly people, free parking in front of the hotel, great breakfast downstairs!
