Morning coffee on the terrace overlooking the valley was very special. We had both lunches at the hotel restaurant and the food was excellent. A comfortable room with great views. But one of the best things were the staff. So friendly, helpful and happy even though it was obvious they were working very hard.
Larramendi Torrea is set next to the Urola River, 10 minutes’ walk from the historic center of Azkoitia. The stone building, dating from 1413, offers modern rooms with free wired internet.

We had hit something of a wall by day seven of a long trip. This hotel was a great antidote because we were able to sit in the very-lively outside restaurant and bar for a few hours. Caught up with communications, photos, enjoyed some drinks and a good dinner.
