Blend Elphistone Resort Marsa Alam, hotel in Abu Dabbab

Featuring a private beach, Blend Elphistone Resort Marsa Alam is located in the south of the Red Sea. It offers 4 outdoor pools, a diving center and a gym.

The only positive thing about this hotel is its location: the Red Sea is amazing. There is a wonderful house reef teeming with life (although big stuff sightings are rare, it's mostly usual small fishes), and - what makes this place stand out - an unusually large litoral lagoon, mostly very shallow and overgrown with seagrass, with some unique wildlife including morays, stingrays, and plenty of nudi branches (usually seen in the morning or late afternoon). Even an eagle ray was spotted there!

Malikia Resort Abu Dabbab, hotel in Abu Dabbab

Featuring air-conditioned rooms with a balcony, Malikia Resort Abu Dabbab is located 19 mi south of Marsa Alam International Airport. It offers a gym, outdoor pool and restaurant.

Nothing! We are full time travelers, and in all our travels, this was the worst by far! The "all-inclusive " was an insult. The cheapest same food every day and in both restaurants. Pool , gym, spa closed until 10 am and closed again at 5, gym until 7. But you cannot train or relax, because hotel employees constantly harass you for upsell services. Ironically, a waiter to bring you a drink at the pool or beach doesn't exist, but droves and teams of sales people from hair salon, spa, dive trips, anything you can imagine are perpetually asking you to purchase more. I felt like a piece of meat walking through a cage of hundreds of wolves. There was actually sewage leaking out of manhole covers and toilet paper on the path ! I have pictures of this! I want a refund!

    The day trips were amazing.

The day trips were amazing. Swimming with the dolphins and the sea turtles was phenomenal. The water was crystal clear. It's a great place for diving and snorkeling. It is not so good for people who are active at night because there's isn't much outside of the resort.

    Lovely area of the country.

Lovely area of the country. As an American traveling in Egypt I felt very safe. The military has a lot of bases on the coast as it is an international border so safety is not an issue there. We stayed at our resort. There is not a "town" around there, so the resorts are all-inclusive. It is easy to book an excursion on camel or four-wheeler into the desert if you get restless staying put.

you can use abou dabab as an off shut to see other destinations driving distance from it. The beach there is one of the few that has proper sand and coral mixes so it's great for both snorkeling and divers and people who just want to chill.

    It's the worst!

It's the worst! Diving gear got stolen and they kept lying to avoid even looking for it. The children got chemical rashes from the pool. The receptionist was extremely rude both at check in and check out. Oh and the Abu dabbab bay/beach is certainly overrated. No dugong, one giant turtle if you're lucky, and a whole lot of intrusion from the guys trying to sell you trips.

Each member of the hotel staff was very polite, friendly and helpful. The hotel is always clean. Food was good. Thanks to all the entertainment team for the joy they bring to the place and the activities they organize. My Kids enjoyed the aqua park and their time at the kids club. Thanks to Ahmed for the wonderful photos you took for my kids at the aqua park. Many thanks to Wessam for organizing our trip to Sharm el Lulu and Omar our guide in that trip. Wish to see you all soon.

This property was better than what we expected! If you have children, this is THE place to stay! All the pool facilities, water slides and pirate ship kids pool are new or freshly renovated. Everything at this hotel looks like it is either new or has been renovated/repainted recently. Everything was very clean, including our room. The animation team was exceptional! The housekeeper in our building was very professional and helpful. The kids club was very nice. I would go back!

This resort is the perfect place to be if you like rest and snorkeling! The facilities are really nice and the staff is very very nice! Of course it’s the place to be if you like snorkeling! Just a few hundred meters from the resort you’ll see some amazing corals and maybe, if you’re adventurous and lucky, some turtles!! I made a suprise for my boyfriend so I asked the hotel to have some romantic decorations and dinner and it was perfect!!!! it was more than I asked !

staff is very friendly in all places of the hotel. special thanks to Hassan cleaning our room, the guys at the Mamut ice cream, the people of the Spa. the location is excellent (we came for diving) and so are the facilities for kids (we don’t have them - but I can see the attractiveness due the the swimming pool, gliders, etc). I read the hotel is a bit older - this is true but it doesn’t hurt the quality of the stay, considering the price range you’re in.

The food was excelent! I didn't expect that quality at all. Lots of vegetarian options too and the selection changed every day. 👌🏿 The staff was nice and not pushy, which is great. The room and all of the facility was really clean. It's a smaller hotel complex but that is its superpower. They treat us really well and beyond necesary and I would recommend this hotel to everybody for even few nights. Plus it's not far from the airport.

the hotel is very comfortable with great access to the beach and reefs right in front of it. the pool was heated when weather got colder and windier. Food had good variety with different Egyptian and international. Staff were very friendly and helpful, they even prepared a breakfast box for us for the road to our early flight. The location is perfect, 20 mins from airport and close to most attractions in that area.

Excellent people in the hotel including the big bosses (managers). Hilton is a guarantee of luxury, good food, but I was most pleased that the great people work at the hotel. I believe the owners also take good care of them and are well paid for their good service. Thank you and I will come back in December this year.

Very clean and good hotel with a big room. The staff was also very respectful and helpful. The food isn't amazing but still nice! The location is great: the private beach is really nice and the hotel itself is just 15-20 minutes by feet from the Abu Dabbab beach (next to the Hilton), which is fantastic for snorkeling!

Royal Brayka is a great Hotel due to the Location and Bay, usually we stay at Brayka Bay but die a lack of availability we chose to stay at Royal in a Beach Front Room 1005 in Building 1. The fridge door was loose and continually dripped water on the floor an the bathroom is very dated but the rest was fine.

All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is very good -and lot of option also for vegetarians. I booked three different kind of rooms. Standard, deluxe and superior. The best was the superior room with seaview and sunrise. The room and also the hotel area are very clean. I extend twice my stay.

Rosa the Italian chef arranged for me gluten free food as I requested (I brought my own pasta), every day she told me what was safe to eat. Mourshdi was a very good scuba diving guide, we went to Abu Dabab where I was able to dive confident after 3 years that I haven't done any dive.

The hotel lacks a lot. You feel bored when you are inside it because there are not many guests. It had only three rooms. It did not have a bar and the food was not paid for. The hotel is not safe enough, but everyone who works there are respectable people.
