Staff was very helpful and the breakfast was delicious. Location was very close to Lego Land, Lego house and Lalandia! We received an upgrade for our room and they also let us extend our stay in that room for another night! Rooms were very clean and neat. Massive tv!
Located next to Billund International Airport’s Terminal 4, this budget hotel is 5 minutes’ drive from Legoland.

Convenient location for the airport, but too long drive to legoland and the little town, the staff at the hotel were very helpful especially the lady at the desk who showed my wife all the items during breakfast that were vegan! She even brought out the allergen list to check, now that's service!
Refborg Hotel is located in central Billund, only 5 minutes’ drive from Legoland Amusement Park. Local wine, food specialties and crafts can be discovered at the on-site gourmet boutique.

Cozy and nice place with private yard. Sheep’s walking nearby and it creates magical countryside feeling.
Owner Karin is the best and kind lady we met in Denmark.

I am assuming the most popular attraction in Billund is Lego Land. It is worth visiting at least once in your life. We didn't like the Lalandia, it was too crowded, and dark, with no fresh air and with plenty of unhealthy food for kids. The Lalandia AquaPark was ok.
Billund is a nice clean town with friendly people - we are very impressed!

If your travelling to Billund I would say 3/4 days is plenty of time to do what you need to do, for us we only came to visit the Lego house and Legoland and got a little bored once we had done those. Overall was still an amazing experience!

Billund is a small town of 6k people, so very easy to walk around and you're not far from anything you wnat to see.
Multiple supermarkets, bakery and restaurants.
And everywhere you walk, you are reminded that it's the home of Lego!
The superb Lego House is central, with lots of other buildings (not available to public)spread about.
Bus to and from airport can be bit tricky without Danish Kroner.
Lovely town, enjoyable few days there.

Two nights in Billund was plenty to see LEGO House.
Two nights in Billund was plenty to see LEGO House. Our kids were too old to see LEGOland so staying town in was preferable. Good dinners both evenings at local restaurants. Bus to Copenhagen was a breeze, just be sure to book far in advance.

Drinks are very expensive.
Drinks are very expensive. Go to the supermarket and take with you. Resturants charge 35 (£3.50) for tap water. The playline is a fun way to get children walking to each place. Everything is within a 30min walk. Free WiFi in legoland and lalandia. Resturants in town are really not worth the money. The family buffet in legoland was worth the money. Amazing food, free drinks and coffee and ice cream. Lalandia have evening entertainment, so if you are staying in a basic room. I reccomend going there in the evening. You can get a decent meal, soft play is open till 9.30pm (£6 pp) bowling, mini golf, rock-climbing, alpine coaster, singers and stage entertainment.
We stayed here because we visited LEGOLAND. It’s a 5 minute walk from the place. And it’s a 5 minute bus ride from the airport. Take the bus No. 43, the platform is right in front of the exit of the airport, the ticket costs 26 DKK (3,50 EUR) per adult (children ride for free), you can buy the ticket from the driver (CASH only). The hotel is quite big with lots of parking space and a playground for kids. The breakfast is delicious (Danish cinnamon buns are top notch). One of the rarest hotels where pillows were just right for me.
Location perfect. very close are two grocery shops.
20min walk to the Legoland
very close to the bus stop (WARNING-tickets for bus are possible to buy only in the airport. we went one way by taxi and back by bus and we had a SERIOUS problem with tickets)
quality mattresses
The kitchen had basic equipment (some spoons, knives, pots, plates,..) so very good for families with small children.
Check-in is written till 22:00, but our flight was delayed, so we came there at 22:10, and no problem. There is a self check-in.
Very clean, cozy and warm room, very welcoming stuff. We were delighted with the animals of the farm!
Although it was the beginning of November with cloudy and rainy days, the farm itself looked very beautiful. We had a great walk there and made a lot of nice photos :).
The place is very close to the Billund Airport and LegoLand. There is a bus which you can use to reach those destinations. However it is quite rare and better to have a car.
Karin is a really friendly and welcoming host. The apartments are situated in a nice quiet and peaceful location. The beds were really comfortable. The kitchen has all the equipment needed to self cater. The apartments are only about a 10-15 minute drive from Airport, Legoland and Lego House. Would definitely book to stay here again next time I come to Billund.
The property near to legoland, legohouse, city center and in the airport. It is very clean. The house has everything. It has laudry area, a good standard kitchen complete of every thing you needed. It has a good space dining and living room. The 2 bed room that has also a comfortable space for us. They have crib for baby and extra diapers😊. It feels like home.
Kids did enjoy the pirate room we were in for 3 nights.
Breakfast was really good.
The everyone usage kitchen was good - in the evenings it was almost empty (the hotel part everyone’s kitchen).
Location was good (Lalaland and Legoland).
Free shuttle bus airport and all relevant location was really good and extremely friendly driver!
The property was easy to locate in Billund. The themed room was cosy and well-appointed for a family.
Check-in and check-out were super quick. The staff were helpful when we needed guidance.
The LEGO decoration in the hotel added to the charm of the place. The family enjoyed themselves.
Excellent location, everything was within walking distance — less than 10 minutes to Lego House and the grocery store. About 20 minutes walk to Legoland. The host was very friendly and helpful. He even brought us a drying rack to dry wet towels and clothes.
The farm was really nice with all the different animals. The owner really catered to kids with two trampolines, a playground, a soccer field, a zipline, pedal go-karts and an indoor ping pong table. Very close to the airport, Lego house and Legoland.
There are some great things about this hotel too. It's extremely close to the airport, you can see the planes taking off from the lounge and the breakfast is really good. (As long as you are good to go all in on pancakes and pastries)
Very nice location close to Billund airport, Legoland, Legohouse.
Excellent for children.
The owners Lars and Annika are very friendly and helpful. Lars had the BBQ pit running every day.
We would like to return.
Great place, lovely and helpful staff, brilliant breakfast- lots of selections! Only 7 min by walk to Legoland and the nearest shop! Comfy beds and also pillows.Overall i would recommend Hotel Svanen.
- location close to Legoland and the airport
- walking distance to the city center
- great breakfast (selection was really good)
- pool
- organic and good quality toilletries provided
It wasn't cheap, but one of the cheapest variants to stay in Billund near the Legoland. Breakfast is great. Room is ok. Wi-Fi was ok, when it worked (see what I didn't like).
