Location was perfect, everything you needed is one step way, staff were amazing felt home the moment arrived. The manager Namet was exceptional, the hospitality in every way was humbling. Breakfast was Royalty. The room was spacious and furniture was high quality. The staff went out of their way to bring a mini fridge that was amazing and rewarding.
Every single staff had a smile that made your day.
Great restaurants next to hotel, enjoyed great food &fresh juice and made many friends.

Part of the staff was very kind, while another part wasn't really interested in making me comfortable. I was allowed to do a late check out on my last day, which a used to take a shower after my road trip. Free transfer was offered.

Djibouti is not a bad city, I think the government needs to spend more money on infrastructure upgrades, it's possible for Djibouti to be more attractive to visitor if infrastructure upgrades were made.

Fascinating, but expensive country.
Fascinating, but expensive country. You should definitively go outside Djibouti ville, but this is possible just with a tour or with rented car (I strongly recommend you the second option, the price for jeep rental starts from 80 USD (+ petrol), but the tours with driver are usually more expensive. Lac Assal (incl. hot springs) and Ardoukoba volcano is for one day, while count at least 2 days for Lac Abbe. Both trips are highly recommended. Unfortunately, I did no go to white sharks tours on the sea due to the lack of time. Next time.
Strongly recommend at least some command of French.

Coming from Ethiopia, Djibouti cannot offer a lot that is really special. Country completely overpriced, people not that friendly, many scammers!
Djibouti was my country #70 and it was the first trip ever I am regretting!
Do not go there - not worth the money, not worth the time - and on top too much hassle and energy sucking!
