Kitchen in the bungalow was very well equipped. Breakfast started at decent time, at 7:00. Dogs are welcome at the hotel. Mattresses were nicely firm. Walking trails around the hotel were marvelous, just walk out of the door and into the beech forest!
This time-honored hotel is located in one of the oldest half-timber buildings of Ilsenburg, a visitor magnet and cultural center for more than 1000 years.

The location is perfect! It's located right in front of a river and a hiking trail.
The room is small but comfortable enough. There was open parking in front of the hotel, but finding a spot was a bit hard.

If you want nature for your holiday, then Ilsenburg is the right choice! Mountains, trees, fantastic view from top! For hiking it’s one of the best route!
Unfortunately, there’s also part of nature that, most of the trees are affected by the fest or plague so you will see that a lot of trees are dying or dead and some mountain are bald! Anyhow, we did hiking down and up till Brocken! And up there , 1142 m high is breathtaking👍😊

I loved this town!
I loved this town! It hadn't shown up on many reviews of the area and not many of the Hanoverians I spoke to had heard of it, but I picked it because I wanted to walk the Heinrich Heine Weg. I was pleasantly surprised as it is so beautiful and had many other walks around the town. There is a small river flowing through it with a couple of lakes which all combined made the town feel very tranquil and relaxed. My other options were Goslar or Bad Hartzburg, but I am glad I stayed in a smaller town as it had a much more relaxing feel and didn't take that much longer to get to. There are plenty of really good walks and hikes nearby. If you are doing the Heinrich Heine Weg I would recommend following the 9E path. It was steeper going up, but much more beautiful and had more bush track. I came down the other path which for the most part is gravel road and goes through dead forest that used to be commercial forestry but is being allowed to return to nature.
It was a really nice place to stay. I walked from train station to the hotel, which is about 2km. The reception was very good, I was able to order in advance the dish i wanted to have for dinner and the time for dinner, and I was able to have the dish divided in two for me and my girlfriend (which is not well seen in other hotels, I must say). There is a traditional German cuisine for dinner. Overall the staff was really friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable and warm.
All staff members were polite and helpful. The breakfasts were nice - typical European style breakfast with fresh varieties of local bread. The rooms were very clean, the Biergarten was a nice place to sit outside to have a glass of wine or beer.
Old town/downtown was close, great hiking was close by because the hotel is situated in a forested area. I will stay in the Kurpark Flair Hotel, again!
(My “negatives” text is only long because I’m being very specific, not because there were a lot of severe problems or anything like that!) Spacious room. Fine amenities. I slept well in the bed. Very enjoyable breakfast. Host and staff were polite and friendly. Central location in the town. Overall a very enjoyable stay, I would recommend this place to anybody who wants to visit Ilsenburg!
The hotel has wonderful surroundings and access to nice hiking spots.
The rooms have had some renovations but overall it's mostly old style furniture and decoir. The room was very clean though and spacious, and made for a comfortable stay.
It's overall a good value for money.
The hotel was located in a lovely quiet location opposite a small lake. I was allocated a very nice garden room with an outside patio. I enjoyed a lovely breakfast with a good choice of breakfast items. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.
