The staff was extremely friendly and walked the extra mile to serve and assist their guests. The hotel and room were very clean and comfortable. The hotel location was excellent. It is within walking distance of the train station, two big supermarkets and shops. Also, it is within walking distance of historical sites and the city centre. The room was smaller than I expected, with a single bed (I can't remember the last time I stayed at a hotel with a single bed!), but it was super comfortable. The bathroom was also small but the room had absolutely everything I needed to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel also has a spa, even though, I didn't use it. The breakfast was amazing as well, so much variety, and delicious.
The hotel is building a pool to provide extra benefits and comfort to its guests. The views from the room were amazing. Berchtesgaden is AMAZINGLY beautiful, a must-visit city.

The location is superb, so close to everything. Hotel Edelweiss is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The room is very clean and very nice. The staff is very helpful and courteous. The laundry was done the same day - fresh and neat. They have three restaurants, and they are great!

The proximity and free transit to and from Berchtesgaden National Park and Lake Konigsee was truly awesome. The trails up and into the mountains are easily followed and can be chosen to fit anyones needs, abilities and or fitness level. The scenery is beyond compare

Bertchesgaden is just beautiful.
Bertchesgaden is just beautiful. There is so much to see and do. The Eagles Nest and Lake Konigssee were just spectacular. Public transport links are amazing and not too tricky to navigate. Hospitality in the area is fantastic, too. We will most definitely be returning.

Old town was stunning during Christmas. A few market stalling which gave great environment. Easy to visit Salzburg Austria. Easy to visit lake area. Beautiful walks. Easy to find walking tracks from old town up to great lookouts and cliff walks.

So beautiful. We go every year and always discover something new, be it a new walk or restaurant. Never get bored of the beauty and atmosphere. It is so easy to get around using the free bus transport with the Gästekarte. Nothing to avoid. All wonderful. Especially stunning this time of year with the Christmas market. Easy to visit Salzburg by bus or train too. Recommend visit to Bad Reichenhall too.

We visited Eagles nest. Because the weather was misty, there was no five-star experience.
because the return bus service you must book for concretely time then we had much more time on top of the hill than we need it, but opposite was very instructive visit Naci’s museum close to the lower bus base.
Wonderful apartment in a stunning location - just over the backside of the hill from downtown Berchtesgaden. 10 minute walk with some steepness but not a problem. About 3 minute drive to Salt Mine and to downtown. Nice kitchen and bathroom, plenty of space and small balcony. Pool and spa as well! And parking!
My 5th trip to Berchtesgaden but first time NOT in the youth hostel, and this changes the experience so wonderfully!
The hotel is located near Bus/Train station that is very comfortable to get to all sights. It takes only 15 minute walk to the city center, salt mines and thermae.
Breakfasts have a wide range of products. Rooms are clean. The hotel provides you with a card that gives you a right to use public transport for free.
Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Think its one of the best place to stay in Berchtesgaden.

The room is very spacious including a bed, a sofa and a balcony overlooking the view. The receptionist was very friendly and asked several times if we needed anything else. The breakfast with fixed tables and personal attention from the waiters. The meal itself was from fresh products, varied and very tasty. The location of the hotel was excellent. Fully recommend the hotel.
Great location in the heart of town and just a 5 min walk to the numerous restaurants and shops in the historic district. The staff was friendly and our room was ready when we arrived. The room was clean and spacious, but quite outdated with old furnishings and features. The location is the best thing about this hotel.
The location is ideal with the city center, bus stop, and hauptbahnhof within walking distance. Additionally, the morning breakfast provided at the accommodation was excellent. Königssee, Kehlsteinhaus, Hintersee, and Berchtesgaden Schloss are easily accessible by public transportation from this location.
We enjoyed our stay here for one night - it felt like we were getting an authentic Berchtesgaden experience with beautiful painted doors and quaint interiors. The host was very friendly and everything was clean and comfortable. The furnishings were quite old but overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Very nice facility. We stayed in the Quad room. Unfortunately it rained our whole trip so we weren't able to use the patio that was for our room. Great breakfast. Excellent restaurant in the hotel. We loved the food so much we ate dinner there every night.
The views at the Salzbergalm exceeded our expectations, with great views of the mountains and into the valley with Berchtesgaden town. The rooms were very nice and comfortable and the amenities like the sauna and hot tub were amazing!
The hotel us private. It is situated not far from the city. The view from the room is breathtaking. There is a pool and sauna room. Don't forget to bring your swimsuit! Love the breakfast room. It is really lovely decorated.
