NOT LIKE: Normal display of goods. Bad servicing. No one was aware of the replenishing of the different items. Had to ask several times for a spoon or fork or for more bread or any other item that was finished, but the staff was never aware. For instance one day we went, there was no more bread, cheese and other items. The answer was simple, we don´t have more.

Cali is a very hospitable city, great people, good restaurants and hotels, interesting geography especially as you travel around the outskirts. But the roads are the WORST. I won't drive there, because of the gazillions of motos that float around your car like mosquitoes. I've driven in Mexico City and Paris and this is worse. And the sidewalks, generally, need to be repaired. We love to walk, but we're getting a little older and having to negotiate around broken concrete on the sidewalks in a hilly environment is just not fun. But definitely worth a visit. We're told that you have to be careful, and we were (there's street crime) but we didn't experience any and the people we met were universally wonderful. Colombians are very courteous people and I really appreciate that aspect of their culture. I need to learn from them.

I've been to Cali twice and my experience has left me planning to explore other areas of Colombia. The people are friendly, food is fresh and tasty and the area is beautiful and CLEAN! I've never seen cleaner roads and public spaces anywhere.

Cali is so amazing and underrated... but I think that's a good thing. Make sure you go to Mulato Cabaret for the experience of a lifetime! The zoo is not bad either. There's tons of outdoor activities to do in mountains and rivers too.

We traveled to watch the Feria de Cali, and we felt very safe, it was absolutely incredible. Taxi drivers very friendly, people in Cali very nice and super helpful. We are coming back this year again. We loved it so much, the gastronomy is incredible, great food, and the cocktails to die for. Salsa bars incredible and everything was great. We watched the Grupo Nice live and free at one of the parks and it was MAGIC. LOVED IT CALI.

Great city with a tropical feel to it. I have been in many countries and I cannot compare it with Indonesia or The Phillipines although the first couple of days I was confused, but as soon as you start to walk on the streets you really feel this is a totally unique area with its own unique vibe. The air is fresh, streets in the main areas are clean and there is quiet some security and police outthere. I have been staying in Miraflores, El Penon and the centre city and Cuidad Jardin.

Cali is a very trendy, urban, real Columbian city that I really enjoyed. The pulse of the city is salsa. Which gives it a bit of a festive and cultural edge in my opinion over other major cities such Cartagena, Bogota, and Medellin. The food was also amazing in Cali I loved the cuisine their more than other Columbian cities I visited. The highlight of my trip was visiting Pance river a natural river in Cali it was very refreshing to go their. The city is a sprawl. Being the second largest city in Columbia it reminds me of American cities such as San Francisco, Atlanta, or Charlotte.
The hotel is only 1 year old. Location is good for walking to the central city attractions. Not a lot of restaurants in the immediate vicinity but there is one jewel right behind the hotel called Platillos Voladores. Best food we had in Colombia!
Decor in main areas is very nice and breakfast area very stylish. The buffet breakfast was exceptional! So many choices and small details that really lifted the experience.
Bed was very comfortable with quality linen.
Staff we all excellent.

Absolutely brilliant hotel. Our room was really spacious, clean and had all the amenities we could ask for including a smart tv, fridge and coffee machine. The shower was the best I’ve had in Colombia! The staff were super attentive, especially Fernando, thank you for being a great host. The area felt really safe and there are great bars and restaurants all around and even three on the ground floor of the hotel. We would highly recommend staying at Hotel El Peñón and hopefully we can visit again.
La Vaina is an excellent place to stay - the staff are wonderful, and you get a great mix of people. You can take dance lessons from knowledgeable and friendly instructors. The facilities are clean, and the food is solid. Internet in the private bedrooms can be touch and go, but you're mostly hanging out by the pool, the restaurant/bar, or the seating areas. Close to many of the big attractions in Cali.

The stay in the apartment was the most pleasant in Colombia! The place is spacious, equipped with everything you need and in a great location. Every detail is beautiful, functional and well thought out. The owners are wonderful, helpful, polite, they took care of me like family. The whole experience was great and allowed me to regain strength before continuing my journey. Thank you for sharing this unique space.
Dann Cali was awesome! The facilities are superb, although I didn't have the chance to use the pool (I hope I'll get back one day); the breakfast was delicious! The hotel is located in a great area, relatively fresh, right by the river and a hill. It is close to downtown, and is in the middle of a popular, social area. The best part of It is the personnel. I loved It!
Helen was an excellent host who gave us tips about the area and recommended things for us to see and do on our short visit to Cali. Her apartment is very pretty and comfy and we felt very at home and welcome there. She went out of her way to help us, location is good and the bed.was the most comfortable I had during my entire.time.in Colombia - thank you Helen ☺️
Everything was great! The staff are super friendly and hospitable. Having a delicious breakfast with a great view of Cali is a huge plus. The location is great, right next to the Santo Antonio park, which is a really nice and safe place to be. The whole experience felt like staying at a friend's house, father than a hotel. I highly recommend Magic Garden House!
The reception staff were very accommodating. The common areas are kept very clean and had this nice rustic chic style/furniture. The rooms have a/c, a safe for valuables, private bathroom, tv with cable, wifi and very comfortable beds. I definitely recommend this hotel looking for an inexpensive, but very comfortable & safe stay in Cali.

I reserved the hotel as it was close to the Cali airport and I had a very early flight to catch in the morning. There was a shuttle for the airport. The room was adequate for what I needed, but I don't think I would book it again.
