The staff was absolutely top-tier: Friendly, present, professional, and supremely helpful (despite of me not speaking a word of Mandarin). They helped me with everything from transportation to food orders, and even packed a generous to-go breakfast for me and my friends when we had to take an early train. I'd come back just for the staff!
The hotel itself is also very pretty, situated inside a cozy courtyard. I enjoyed the serene environment and the short walk to a nearby park that was bustling with fun activity.

I made the mistake of visiting Chengdu when it was SNOWING and Wet Snow / Icy Rain drizzling for a few days in January 2024. That kind of (very rare) weather kills everything touristy in Chengdu: Most hotels have no heater. You need to use the AC......after one night's AC blowing, I woke up with a bad cough and developed a bad cold soon afterward. One tip: Ask your hotel for a movable heater for your room: Much better than using the AC.

Sichuan is well worth visiting and Chengdu, the capital, has an interesting history. The people are very friendly and there are plenty of places in and around the city to explore. The metro is excellent and the restaurants plentiful. Wouldn't go to the giant Panda Breeding Base if I visited again - very crowded and in January crowded but very little to see and parts of the centre shut and locked. Although the site is enormous, and it would take at least a day of walking to get around the whole place, there are I believe better and more intimate Panda centres in the area.

Interesting and culturally rich.
Interesting and culturally rich. Clean and technologically advance.
Friendly people and a safe country to visit and walk around.
Very affordable food.
However, everything will be in chinese, the signages, the menu and the language spoken. It was really challenging for non mandarin speakers to communicate there.
Not a place to shop though, cannot compare with Bangkok or Beijing.
The Panda Base is not worth a visit if you want to catch Pandas, because they will be either hiding or sleeping. However, that attractions have many instagram worthy spots to take pictures.
Kwan Chai alley is a must!! with very affordable opera shows.

Chengdu is a busy and popular travel destination in China.
Chengdu is a busy and popular travel destination in China. The museums are impressive and have amazing cultural relics. It can be hard to get a booking to visit a museum, the booking process can be difficult (mostly online via wechat). Some places in the city are very crowded, keep that in mind.

Chengdu is the capital city of Sichuan know for spicy Hotpots and pandas mainly. It’s a city that never sleeps with every possible entertainment you care to think of. Restaurants of every type, bars, clubs, spas, shopping centres and oodles of culture. What’s not to love?
It’s reputed that Chengdu has the most beautiful women and wherever you look serenity abounds in stylish attires appropriate to the sultry heady heat of summer.
One of the best hotels in my life, I'm quite picky though. At first I messed up the location cause on Google maps and MapsMe it showed the old address. It was at night, the receptionist was so caring and kind that called a taxi for me (free!), upgraded my room and sold me delicious panda beer ;-) The hotel was extremely beautiful and super modern equipped, breakfast was modest yet tasty, the staff were wonderful. Actually that night was the best part of my vacation!
The staff were very polite and helpful and friendly.
They did everything from booking taxis 🚕 to train tickets and organising tours.
The bar was a pleasant place to have a relaxing drink 🍸 in the evening.
They had 2 volunteers named Fionna and Amber who added a great atmosphere to the place.
Would recommend this hostel/hotel to all my friends who are thinking of staying in Chengdu.
Best of luck 👍 to all the staff and volunteers in the future.
Well, I think the location is the main advantage of this hotel. It's really conveninet, right in the city center, close to metro and shopping centers. Many places to eat out and close to Starbucks)
The bed was comfortable and the room was really spacious.
The food at the restaurant was good, both at the breakfast and also in the evening. There's an option to order fried eggs at breakfast, which is not easy to find in Chinese hotels.
I have no regret in choosing the same hotel for 2nd time stay after returning from Tibet.
Affordable with free simple Chinese breakfast.
Strategic location near Jinli Street and Metro within 10 min walking
Many restaurant nearby.
Polite and helpful staff that I could rely on because my document was delivered safely by the hotel before my arrival for check in.
Slipper, kettle, free drinking water, black tea sachet are provided.
I would like to express my greatest satisfaction for the service of your Colleagues, especially NICOLE granted with her very kind attitude and helpfull personality. Her advices and guidenesses in English language were also a big honor for our stay in Chengdu!😉
Please forward our thanx and congratulation to her and to your team.🤗

Perfect Accommodation. Friendly staff, spacious and clean rooms with fully equipped kitchen. Breakfast is delicious with western and Chinese options.
Location is nice with plenty of coffee shops and restaurants around. Convenient to reach all tourist sites.
Especially considering the price this is definitely a perfect hotel for Chengdu.
Clean and nice vibe. In a country were most hotels look very similar to each other this one really has its own identity and feels more like something you would find somewhere else. Nice decorations and rooftop.
Breakfast is quite unique; they give a lot of small dishes; its not particularly filling though but fun to try.
The view from the room was amazing. There's a shuttle bus from the hotel to the panda garden which helped a lot in the hot weather when we visited. Very spacious dining area and lots of food options at the breakfast buffet. Friendly staff and clean room. Recommended!
The staff was very accomodating and understanding. They even let me extend my check-out time free of charge. The facilities were clean and the beds are very comfortable. I only stayed for one night but this will be my choice for any of my trips to Chengdu.
Very nice, modern, spacious and clean hotel in a central location and super convenient with a metro at the end of the street. We enjoyed the breakfast (especially the fresh noodles!) and free laundry service. The staff were helpful and friendly 😊
We loved this hotels ! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was great and the room, the sheet and towels were new and was very comfortable and clean. We liked the slippers as well. We really enjoyed it while our stay. Thank you!
The Canopy hotel is in a great central location. The view is amazing, the rooms are clean and spacious. I enjoyed the breakfast, the restaurant also has good view on Chengdu city. It was very easy to park and go and leave the parking garage.
I had a nice time staying at this hotel because of its excellent location, large and well-appointed rooms, friendly staff, and delicious breakfast. The cleaners are nice; they go above and above to make sure I have a comfortable stay.
Not so close to the city center, but very close to one of the airports in Chengdu. Room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Good breakfast. Very good cost-benefit aspect!
