The hotel itself is an artistic jewel and a place of beauty. A true art museum. The walls are covered in art work. I love art and I literally spent an hour "touring" the hotel to admire it all. This is a historic building, it's construction and story tied in with the towns early history are documented in fotographs. For those who care less about high-brow art there are lovely antiques scattered around the place.
And if this wasn't enough, half the rooms look out towards the lake and volcano Osorno. Osorno is the most beautiful volcano in the world, even more beautiful than Fuji. To see it at sunset as you walk up the majestic wood paneled staircase to your room is something to remember.
The neighborhood is quiet and pleasant, high on a hill, but right across the street is a very nice little restaurant with friendly staff and great menu!

Simón was super welcoming and a great communicator. Even though I couldn’t speak much spanish I still felt taken care of. The room had a cute street view and was walking distance from a couple of great restaurants and a bodega. Would definitely stay here again when I come back to Puerto Varas!

A very jolly town, clearly doing quite well. All the locals we spoke to were friendly and helpful, particularly the tourist Info in centre of town.
We rented a car for a couple of days from Morris at Sur Car Rental, hilarious and good value.
Mi gusto Puerto Varas!

Went mid October and weather can be a factor. Wanted to get a tour of volcano and park rangers closed the road due to deep snow. Rest of town was nice to walk and stroll around. People were very friendly and helpful.

Very friendly town, with great shopping and very good restaurants.
The Vinoteca at the lake offers great food, combined with an amazing variety of wines, sold at the same price in-store as in the restaurant.

Very beautiful city and surroundings.
Very beautiful city and surroundings. There are a lot of places and natural wonders to visit, any tourist would be impressed. Puerto Varas has a rich history which would amaze any curious mind. I arrived by bus since there are no flights between intermediate cities in Chile and it was very disappointing to find out that there is no proper bus terminal. My bus arrived at 5 am and we had to sit in the floor until a taxi appeared and he took us to the only 24h store in the city, which would only sell through a small window. We had to sit down again on the floor until the sun came out.

Most beautiful city of Chile so far!
Most beautiful city of Chile so far! Convenient transport from the Airport, very beautiful lake view of the volcano, felt safe. Much better place to stay than Puerto Montt, if you are deciding between those two.

This is a gorgeous city, surrounded by so many things to do.
This is a gorgeous city, surrounded by so many things to do. You can go ski to the Osorno Volcano and spend a full day there. Saltos del Petrohue are so beautiful that you can stay half day there. And going south to Chiloé is something you need to do.
The breakfast was wonderful - Options for eggs, toast, cereal, fruit, tea/coffee, jams and even kuchen. It was a good spread and we enjoyed a good start to the day! The Casa is absolutely gorgeous, with aesthetic spaces to read, a lagoon full of nesting birds, gardens et all. Close to Puerto Varas and Frutillar! We chose to have dinner here on our last day (no restaurants in Llanquihue) and it was delicious, esp. the dessert. The staff was wonderful, special mention to Ivonne, who was a delight to converse with.
There are too many things to list in a review! The owners Christian and Pyla made me feel so comfortable in their beautiful home which was constructed with every detail in mind and filled with special energy and love. My room and bathroom were gorgeous with views of the lake. The bedding and towels rivaled any 5-star hotel! The furnishings are carefully curated and extraordinary. The breakfast was lovingly prepared and presented. Amazing!
The hotel is located right by the lake and provides good view of the lake and the volcano. The location is also very close to the meeting point where we need to take the Andean Lake Crossing early in the morning from Puerto Varas to Barilochi. Hotel front desk staff is pretty good, especially the gentleman who speaks English. He was extremely helpful and gave us a lot of good suggestions. The included breakfast is also very good.
One of the best hostels I stayed in Chile. Everything was perfect. Super clean, spacious (even the 10-bed-dorm), big garden and indoor communal areas.
The hostel is about 20 minutes from town but it's an easy walk along the shores of the lake. Also, after seeing how busy town was, I was actually glad to stay a bit outside
The apartment is very well equipped and decorated. It is relatively close to the center of Puerto Varas, however it is better to go there by car. It is located on a quiet street, with private parking. It has a beautiful view of part of the city, lake and volcanoes. Communication with the host was very easy and assertive.
The location is fine, not to close the downtown but not so far away, is really quiet zone, I could not read my email, where i must find the telephone number, to keep in touch in contact with the owner of the property, so I was hesitating about the real possibility to be scammed, finally that was no problem at all.
Wow! This hotel is amazing: from the staff, to the beautiful room, from the surroundings to a delicious breakfast. This hotel is so unique and every attention to every detail was made during our stay.
We would certainly recommend ! And thank you Jeanette for all your help !
Great breakfast, and a decent view of the lake from one of the premium rooms I believe. Also the location is ideal, very close to the centre of Puerto Varas. The staff were all friendly and helpful. They reserved taxis for us, and advised us on trips and things to do.
The location and infrastructure are fine. Don't expect to find a great luxury plece. It's a hostel, not a hotel.
The simplicity of a traditional and rustic place provides the element to stay comfortable.
A stunning hotel that maximises its vantage point of Puerto Varas lake and the enigmatic Osorno volcano with a large luxurious lounge and lovely restaurant. The staff could not have been more helpful.
Spacious room with kettle. Clean. Buffet breakfast with fresh fruits, omelette, as well as the usual pastry, cheese, etc. Hotel is located above a shopping area that includes a good empanada shop.
Very welcoming hotel. The hot tub was a great surprise. There was plenty of food at breakfast and the common areas were very homely. The view of Puerto Varas has excellent
The house is in a quiet neighbourhood of Puerto Varas. Still it is feasible to walk to the pier. The owner Claudia and her son is welcoming. Hot water avialable.
The stuff/owners are super friendly, the place is a classic Chilean wooden house, and it's huge. Great views of the volcano at sunset from living room.
