Sarnen is so beautiful with lush green hillsides, breathtaking views of the surrounding Alps, pretty streams and a peaceful lake. There are lovely walking trails and parks with boating activities and fantastic amenities. We were only able to stay a short while, but enjoyed a delicious dinner at Molini's, which we highly recommend. Everything we needed for our brief visit was within walking distance, or easy walk to the nearby train station.

Sarnen is a lovely little town, with a wide range of shops, two supermarkets and a garage. There are lots of walks in the surrounding area which are well signposted. A small river runs through the centre. The town has a range of restaurants. It was very well situated for our overnight stop on a drive down to Italy.
JP was an awesome host. He allowed us to check-in a little earlier and gave me a tour of the apartment. The level of service was amazing - JP provided so many extras it was staggering (food - chocolate, milk, butter, bread, jam, hummus, coffee; wifi; brochures; bikes; sleds). The kitchen was well stocked (even better than my own house). The house was very clean. Free-parking directly outside the apartment. Views of the mountains from the balcony! Overall, an amazing stay and if I were in Sarnen again, I would stay again.
The apartment is in two floors. The 2 Bedrooms, Bath with shower are on the ground floor. Kitchen, dining, huge Terrace with Covered sitting arrangement on the first floor. Very easy check in, Very spacious bedrooms with all necessary things inkl super heating. Spectacular view from the Terrace, very close to the lake. Its between Luzern & Interlaken, perfekt for driving to both locations. Covered car park is available also for bigger SUV's on the property.
I stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment and was the best apartment I ever rented! Simply perfect, fully equipped kitchen, amenities for the toilet/bathroom, very spacious apartment, comfortable beds, luxury! The host Lisa is very friendly and kind. Easy check in and check out. Free parking in front of the place. You will probably need a car because its around 1km from city center of Sarnen and the lake.
We had a good breakfast with fresh croissant from the bakery and not frozen as well as fresh fruits. The staff was very helpful, always there for you if you need anything. The location was very good: 3 minutes on foot from the railway station and plenty of chemist, shops, restaurants around you. As well, as being able to stroll by the lake which was very nice despite the hot weather.
The location is extraordinary. We were lucky enough to get a room on the 4th floor, where there is a shared terrace overlooking the lake. The view is incredibly beautiful. The room, although quite small, is very clean and the bed very comfortable. The hotel staff is extremely friendly.
We recommend this hotel and we will definitely come back. :)
From the minute we arrived, it was great, the terrible manager :) forced us to have a cold beer and relax before going up to our rooms. The hotel had a nice area to park our motorbikes in and the manager was a fantastic host throughout our stay. The food was excellent and we loved staying there.
The area is very quiet, and the lake is close to the chalet and there is a play area for children, the host JP was very generous and on the first day he took us on a tour of the area and sent us all the information about the family activities we need near the area. We loved our stay in sarnen
The appartment is located two minutes from the lake, the views are amazing. The location is very convinient to visit Lucern, Pilatus and many other places.
The appartment is fully equipment, and the owner supplies basic food as welcome present.

Very nice, modern room, with plenty of space. On site restaurant offers very good food. In addition the hotel was very accommodating - not only they served breakfast earlier on the half marathon day, but they included pasta in the offer!
Sarnen is well located to visit several interesting spots in the region. Clean place, functional and private entrance. Nicely equipped apartment. Good fourniture of towels, cookware, etc...
Roland is a great host! We really enjoyed our stay.! The view of the lake is just stunning. If we ever return to this area, Villa Wilen will surely be our choice.
