The location is a beautiful location in the countryside, surrounded by farmland. And right down the street from the Ballenburg living museum. Breakfast on the terrace was wonderful even on a cool foggy morning. Food was very good and fresh. The rooms are quite unique but comfortable. We only stayed for one night and was unable to take advantage of everything. Parking fills up so if it is important to be in the garage, make the reservation with the room.

A nice place for the travellers want to stay away from the busy cities like interlaken and Lucerne. Never the less well connected with both of places with a travel time of 30 minutes to 1 Hour by train. It’s must visit city alongwith the Rothorn Kulm. The lake is very nice and you can find food mart (COOP) very near to Brienz station along with local restaurants there.

Brienz is a small town on the shore of the Brienzersee that in October was a very beautiful and peaceful place to stay. It has a magnificent view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. The Rothornbahn will take you to the top of the Brienzer Rothorn with is fabulous views of the Alps. There are a lot of hiking trails that are easily accessible from Brienz. You can also take the boat across the lake to hike around Giessbach falls and enjoy the terrasse bar at the Grandhotel. We enjoyed eating at Tea Room Walz (which had a great vegan option) and Berghaus Planap (a bit of a hike). An outstanding selection of cheeses can be found at Chas Fritz. We also just enjoyed walking along the lake on the Brienzer Uferweg.

There is so much to do in the area of Brienz.
There is so much to do in the area of Brienz. Aareschlucht, Ballenberg, Gelmerbahn, Brienzer Rothorn, boat trip to Giessbach and furniculaire to Grandhotel Giessbach are just a few outings.
Brienz offers plenty of good accommodation and eating places.
It is located on the Brienzer lake and easily accessible by car, train, boat and bus.

True gem of Switzerland.
True gem of Switzerland. A wonderful wood carving town by the lake side. Great food and culture here. Perfect place for walks. If you need to chill out without an agenda and do your own thing , this is a good option to explore. Safe to travel with loved ones. Locals are respectful and friendly. Also a good place to make a base and travel to other cantons of the country for day trips via ferry , train and bus (highly recommend taking a Swiss Pass) You can also take a dip in the lake and drink alpine water straight from the tap as the locals themselves do and recommend.

Brienz has the best of both worlds.
Brienz has the best of both worlds. On the one hand, it is a charming village with traditional buildings, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, and with wonderful views over the Alps and the lake. On the other hand, it has shops and restaurants and it is served by frequent public transport, so you can use it as a base to explore the region, even if you don't have a car.
First of all , it’s pet friendly. The staff are very pleasant and always wanted to give the best service they could, always have a smile in their face. The location is great if you want to go to Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen, and Grindelwald which we did, there are lots if things to do like going on a boat tour along the lake or their is a train ride. A lot of activities for the children too. My family and my sister family love it here so much! The food in the restaurant is also amazing! I couldn’t wait to come back.
I had an absolutely dreamy time at BNB Brienz for two days – I just fell in love with the place. You wake up to the stunning Brienz Lake right outside your window, and the room is cozy and welcoming. The kitchen was super handy, and the self-serve breakfast was not only delicious but also had some organic fruits grown by the hosts. What's even better is the location – a charming little train passes by the front of the house, and within a short walk, you're at the lakeside, the pier, and the steam train station.
Everything was great, the location with the surrounding area, COOP was a minutes walk away, the facilities in the apartment make you feel right at home nothing is missing. The view was very interesting and scenic right on the lake and against the mountain, painting an incredibly natural vibe.
The owner was very helpful and friendly. This was not my first time in Interlaken but in this apartment, which I will keep as my favorite on all my future visits.
Really worth it guys
The hostel is right on the lake and offers the most incredible views! It’s just a 10 min walk or 2 min bus ride to the train station and a 20 min train ride to Interlaken which was perfect. I was glad to be away from the tourists downtown. Everything is updated since it’s a newer hostel and the breakfast was absolutely incredible! Sara made us feel so welcome and helped accommodate any requests. Highly recommend staying here!
The best part of this hotel was its location and the lake view from my room was the best I have ever had! Being right on the lake front and having a window opening out to see the beautiful views was perfect! The staff were friendly and the main guy had an excellent sense of humour. Facilities were simple but clean. The hotel was within a few minutes walk of restaurants, grocery shops and the train station.
The hosts Christoph and Sabrina were super friendly, the room was spotlessly clean. Fridge space available for each rooms, snacks and drinks too can be purchased with 1 Euro !! ( yes! You can believe it! Most of the places during this journey would charge you 5 euros for a bottle of drinking water!)
Would definitely comeback next time I visit Switzerland )
2 minute walk to the brienz train station, which is also next to a restaurant and grocery store. This hotel also has a shuttle bus to and from the property when arriving and leaving for your luggage (use it because the hills up are a WORKOUT). beautiful views from all sides of the property.

There's basin and mirror inside the single room. The bathroom and WC are shared in corridor.
Just behind is the lake Brienz, good relaxing walk or sit along lakeside.
There's a good small pizza & beer restaurant nearby.
The staff was really nice and they agreed to change our room so we can have a lake view. The location is nearby all points of attraction in Brienz and the room was very spacious. The coffee downstairs is really good.
