many pluses: the view from terrace and rooms is stunning, 10 min from city center by car, the apt is beautiful inside and was very clean (white walls make it look so fresh), apt well supplied. it has patio furniture and patio umbrella. TV and can watch Netflix lol. the neighborhood so traditional and you are right below mount Bre (stunning views)

The property itself, especially the location, is awesome.
Instructions for check in / entry are straightforward.
The view is breathtaking in the garden is lovely.

We requested a balcony with a Lake Lugano view and it was perfect, however there is a main road between our room and the lake. We like to keep the windows open, so there was traffic noise, but it did not bother us. The hotel was a quick walk to the train station and the boat cruises were right across the street. Restaurants everywhere and shopping galore. Breakfast was very good.
The Hotel Acquarello is located in the Old Town of Lugano, right at the lower terminus of the funicular connecting the center to the main railway station.

The location and the service are both good. For the area, the pricing is pretty good. The size of the room is decent. It’s sweet of them to give you chocolate upon arrival. The only product they provide in the bathroom is nice.
This family-owned hotel is centrally located just a short walk from Lugano town center and its breathtaking lakeshore, and the famous Piazza Riforma with its many sidewalk cafés.

Great location (but tricky to find--it's sort of behind a vegetable market/rstaurant)--so close to the train station. The staff was friendly, breakfast great, and the room was large and comfortable. I would return.
