Rooms was very dirty, full of dust and dead bugs on floors. It was "two bedroom apartment" without any privacy open concept separated with small wall. They did not changed bed linen it was dirty and untidy sett. Front door can't be locked and back door lock falling out. No safety at all. It smells inside on cigarettes and it is very stuffy inside without fresh air. Me and my family decided that this place is not safe for us to stay for health issue and personal safety and we returned keys immediately.We have to drive back home 250km in night. Hope this review will helps future costumers to make right decision about staying on this place.

Great city. Hotel accomodations very good, clean and friendly. Great buffet breakfast included in stay. Only thing annoying was the heater in room...was quite noisy while running. Would wake me each time it kicked-in. Overall, would return and use this facility.

I have been coming to Port Elgin for years because of the beach and atmosphere. We ate our for all meals and we were surprised by the poor service and attitude of the restaurant staff. I wanted to believe it was because of Covid but to be honest the restaurants were not busy.

Beautiful Town, great beaches.
Beautiful Town, great beaches. Beware of Geese droppings on paths and the Seagulls can be brutal- don’t feed them.Great trails . Paths along Lake are second to none. Sunsets are unbelievable. Southampton and Sauble Beach very close . Restaurant’s are hit and miss. Provincial parks close by

A couple of blocks of the main street strip are nice, but we wish we had driven 10 more kms and stayed at/visited the lovely town of Southhampton. Port Elgin beach is being rebuilt so it is really not worth visiting. Go 10 kms up and visit the Southhampton beach instead

City was great! Many options of restaurants and coffee shops. Walmart, Dollorama and Rexal in the Main Street. McDonald’s and Tim Hortons also in the Main Street. The beach was great. Clean water and not crowded. I really liked Port Elgin. I will be back for sure.
The property is one of the better one’s that Inhave stayed at in any small town in Ontario. And that includes some big tourist towns as well.
Super friendly staff, super clean washrooms in the rooms, nice indoor pool and outdoor pool and a very nice breakfast spread for the guests.
Staff are really nice, it was clean and comfortable. However, we were in a room with thin walls, so we were able to hear the TV of the other room( very loud). Other than that, this hotel deserves 5 stars! Also it’s well located and both pools are clean and nice!
The room was very clean and staff were very nice and hospitality was excellent. Our two nights stay was comfortable, the room had almost all the amenities needed. I will highly recommend this hotel and will surely book next time when in Port Elgin.
Our favourite place to stay in Port Elgin..... Very comfortable , amazing place to stay.....coffee bar available 24 hours and front desk open 24 hours .....pool and hot tub is great .... To have all year round .....
The previous 2 visits I was in the newer section of the hotel which I liked, this trip I was in the older section which I didn't care for. They said that the cheaper price that I paid was for the older section.
The hotel is old, it was clean but the room smell bad, like mold, the ac is very noise. The staff was nice. It has a good location and is safe but they need some improvements.
It was a great location just down the street from The Main Beach in Port Elgin. The Beach itself was very nice with good facilities washrooms right there.
