Rooms was very dirty, full of dust and dead bugs on floors. It was "two bedroom apartment" without any privacy open concept separated with small wall. They did not changed bed linen it was dirty and untidy sett. Front door can't be locked and back door lock falling out. No safety at all. It smells inside on cigarettes and it is very stuffy inside without fresh air. Me and my family decided that this place is not safe for us to stay for health issue and personal safety and we returned keys immediately.We have to drive back home 250km in night. Hope this review will helps future costumers to make right decision about staying on this place.

Great city. Hotel accomodations very good, clean and friendly. Great buffet breakfast included in stay. Only thing annoying was the heater in room...was quite noisy while running. Would wake me each time it kicked-in. Overall, would return and use this facility.

I have been coming to Port Elgin for years because of the beach and atmosphere. We ate our for all meals and we were surprised by the poor service and attitude of the restaurant staff. I wanted to believe it was because of Covid but to be honest the restaurants were not busy.

Beautiful Town, great beaches. Beware of Geese droppings on paths and the Seagulls can be brutal- don’t feed them.Great trails . Paths along Lake are second to none. Sunsets are unbelievable. Southampton and Sauble Beach very close . Restaurant’s are hit and miss. Provincial parks close by

A couple of blocks of the main street strip are nice, but we wish we had driven 10 more kms and stayed at/visited the lovely town of Southhampton. Port Elgin beach is being rebuilt so it is really not worth visiting. Go 10 kms up and visit the Southhampton beach instead

City was great! Many options of restaurants and coffee shops. Walmart, Dollorama and Rexal in the Main Street. McDonald’s and Tim Hortons also in the Main Street. The beach was great. Clean water and not crowded. I really liked Port Elgin. I will be back for sure.
Booking.com were garbge help with this place...downgraded our room with no notice, from spacious double bed with vicorian bath tub, to barely any room to walk queen with stand up shower, and clerk said room we wanted is not even in the hotel any more, so why does booking.com keep offering it? Also site says breakfast included - pfffttt...npo where does it way you make your own bagels in tiny kitchen.
Avoid this dump and avoid booking.com at all costs
Amazing Long weekend.. Amazing place to stay... Pool and hot tub were great to have as it was cold and rain... Amazing place to stay to travel to all beaches.... Great places to eat in the area...Allan's fireside grill and The queens restaurant great restaurant to eat at .... Friendly staff and owner always able to help you .

Staff are really nice, it was clean and comfortable. However, we were in a room with thin walls, so we were able to hear the TV of the other room( very loud). Other than that, this hotel deserves 5 stars! Also it’s well located and both pools are clean and nice!
Staff were fabulous!! No complaints about the hotel at all. Challenge was finding a place to deliver food after 9pm! Kitchens were all closing or some restaurants not open on Monday nights.
I love this location to stay in Port Elgin.... Room is just simple and that is all you need..... Love the drink bar at the front ....as the coffee makers don't work in the room.....
The hotel is old, it was clean but the room smell bad, like mold, the ac is very noise. The staff was nice. It has a good location and is safe but they need some improvements.
It was a great location just down the street from The Main Beach in Port Elgin. The Beach itself was very nice with good facilities washrooms right there.
