We loved our room, the décor was so nice and the way it was set up was excellent. The Lobby Bar and campfire was so cute and we loved having coffee and breakfast in the morning.

Love the location, proximity to the biking trail, the outlet beach. The bed was comfortable. The water was hot quickly. The staff member who assisted us when we arrived was lovely.

Gorgeous place with a fabulous restaurant and amazing staff. The room was outstanding, super comfortable bed and great ambiance. We were there for the eclipse and was the perfect place for it.
The restaurant at Merrill House has an amazing chef.
The restaurant at Merrill House has an amazing chef. We had an outstanding dinner and breakfast. Food was like music in my mouth. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The Inn is a beautiful old mansion with cool modern art. Pictor has a lot to offer and so close to many attractions. Would recommend lake on the mountain, sandbanks and waupoos winery.

To be honest, there were not much restaurant so, the price is a bit higher and difficult to find the place during the pick time.
There is one steak restaurant recommended by hotel, I had horrible experience.
The price is very high comparing the portion of the food and unfriendly staffs. (I prefer the KEG)
For the next time, I don't want to make the hotel reservation in Picton. I would suggest to go to Kingston instead.

It's a nice place. Nice and clean.
It's a nice place. Nice and clean. It's an old house, so the floors squeak. Not a big deal. It is a self check in and check out. I know there were "owners" there, we saw them when we arrived, but that was it. The phone left as contact did not answer. Emails about early check in were not replied. We checked in about 2 ours early and it was fine. Simple room (yellow rrom - twin bed and private bathroom) but they didn't mention the bathroom was in the hall, not in the room.

We enjoyed Picton. Recommend Royal Hotel for a great meal!
We enjoyed Picton. Recommend Royal Hotel for a great meal! Our lodging was far less than we expected and what we paid for, however. Electrical and fire hazards were among our concerns. There should be a way for our concerns (as explained in more detail in n the review of the Stone Carriage House - Barouche Suite) to be registered so that others who come after us don’t experience the same problems.

Such a cute town with many boutiques and restaurants! Houses are beautiful to look at, walk around and take photos! Cute park nearby to picnic or sit and watch boats! Town is near by foot or car. Would go back!
Great restaurants like the Spanish one and yummy ice cream at Slickers!
Quaint but nice.
Nice coffee, tea, yogurt and fruit station to start the day.
Nice touch of a box of chocolates for our anniversary.
We really enjoyed our breakfast coupons which were very generous to cover a nice breakfast in 2 local restaurants.
The Crepe Escape should have been marked ‘closed on Tuesday’…we were glad we decided to go there on Monday. Would have lost out on Tuesday.
Close to harbour and downtown.
10/10! Jake went above and beyond to make sure our stay went seamlessly. the home is gorgeous, the room is spacious, the facilities in the house make it feel like a hotel (coffee in the morning, fridge with drinks), and Jake provided so many amazing recommendations that made our trip better than we could have hoped. location is also perfect, walking distance to many fab restaurants. will be back ASAP!
The hotel was delightfully designed, mixing antique, art deco and contemporary accents, all while retaining its wonderful historical features. The rooms have material written and illustrated by the owners detailing the history of Merrill House and the Merrill family. The staff were super friendly. The breakfasts were delicious. The hotel itself was very well situated. Would definitely stay here again!
The breakfast was excellent. There was lots to eat.
The location was perfect for us as we spent most of our time at the Sandbanks, located 10 minutes away.
The host was funny and easy going. He encouraged us to explore the little farm and the art gallery. My daughter loved feeding the goats.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Merrill House in Picton. Everything was wonderful: the room, the food, and the staff. Tina, Jocelyn and Terri were terrific. They went out of their way to make to our stay as comfortable as possible. Such attention to detail.
Well located near restaurants and shopping. Easy to get around. It was lovely to wonderful to have a full kitchen for breakfasts and we especially liked sitting in the garden. The home was charming and comfortable. It far surpassed any hotel room or B & B. Towels were plentiful.
This place was so adorable and perfectly clean! It’s a 2 minute drive to downtown picton and you can see the water from the living room! The hosts were lovely and left us delicious ginger cake :)
Owner/host Barry is responsive and friendly.
Great room - very comfortable. Has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Beautiful sitting area in the backyard. Perfect location.
The property was located right in central Picton and was close to all of the little shops and some restaurants. The room itself was beautiful and was clearly newly renovated.
The home is in a good location, walking distance to Picton centretown. The neighbourhood is very quiet with friendly neighbours. The house is clean and very well appointed.
Location. Proximity to Sandbanks. Outdoor patio very nice. Deck a little shaky though when people walk on it. Service was great. Fish tacos exceptional.
