I had the pleasure of staying at Heron’s Landing in April 2024. The suite was very comfortable. In addition to the one bedroom, it included a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and living room. The view of the inland passage was very peaceful. I also valued the under-building parking. So much for the accommodations.
What I really appreciated about this “family operated property” was the family. Amanda and her mother were wonderful. Amanda was very helpful during my stay, and her mother actually cooks the breakfast. NO plastic disks of scrambled egg or shoe-leather sausage here. It’s the real thing. And if eggs are not your thing, a variety of cold cereals and breads are available. The young man at the front desk was very friendly and efficient, while the fellow who helped me with the key card was pleasant, even though it was somewhat late. Lastly, the location is very convenient, about halfway between Willow Point and downtown Campbell River, right across from the Sea Walk. So, if your visiting Campbell River, I would recommend Heron’s Landing over any of the ‘corporate-owned’ properties.
Located on the West Coast waterfront, the Comfort Inn & Suites is in Campbell River, only 2 minutes away from the BC Ferries terminal. An indoor pool and hot tub are available. Free WiFi is included.

It's lovely to watch the stars by the water enjoying the campfire at night, the view is breathtaking during the day. Unfortunately, the owners are not using the place up to its potential. There are much more things that can be done to this place.

Oyster Bay is a nice place for a quiet weekend getaway.
Oyster Bay is a nice place for a quiet weekend getaway.
However there are very few restaurants in the area. We found only a Chinese restaurant 'Driftwood' which was good enough for meals.
My partner and I had a great stay with Doreen. The property was beautiful and the added little touches were lovely. Breakfast was a whole other level. Doreen is a great cook as well as a lovely conversationalist. We enjoyed chatting around the breakfast table, and were even fortunate enough to meet some of her visiting family. I cant say enough good things about our stay.
I love this hotel. Will definitely be back next summer and book the queen 1 bedroom suite! I loved the kayak rentals, my fiancé and I had such an amazing time on the ocean and saw harbour porpoises only a few feet away. The view is incredible. I love the evening fire. Our room was small, but clean and functional. Thanks for a great vacation! Mark was so helpful!
The view was amazing. We love staying in hotels, the hard thing about hotels is that they are almost never clean enough.. you can see handprints on the walls and skin oils around light switches etc.. this hotel was very very clean, the beds were comfortable, and I love that the rooms don’t have carpet.
The owner, Ying, was absolutely fantastic. She was so kind and helpful and just a lovely person. The motel is old and could use some work, but is great for people on a budget and has wonderful views and a great location. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a lovely 2 day September stay at Doreen's! Enjoyed her excellent homemade breakfasts and our morning chats. There were so many ripe blackberries on our hike along the beach and awesome views! Great place for some R&R!!
The room was quaint and very clean. Plenty of pillows. The little fridge was appreciated for keeping our drinks cold. Being close to the ocean was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Older motel, beatiful view and nice grounds by the ocean, mountains across the Salish Sea. Very affable hosts. Clean, neat. Comforable bed. Good choice if you don't need a luxury hotel.
The hotel is very nice. Quiet and clean. The rooms are very comfortable too. But the best is probably the view from the room. The garden is also beautiful and well maintained.
