Ottawa is a heavy traffic city made difficult to get around by construction zones, one way streets, and heavy rain. A hop on hop off bus trip made for a good way of seeing the city in rain. Wonderful architecture, well groomed parks, and a variety of museums and government buildings, provide the visitor with rich experiences.

We were there for the tulip festival on the Victoria weekend...
We were there for the tulip festival on the Victoria weekend. The place was bustling. We went to Parliament buildings and had a great time walking around. Ate at a nice buffet in the Byward Market. Lots of activities around there. Live dj in the street, sales booths, etc... The family members that came with me for the trip thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. We even took time to go to Rue Ste. Catherine in Montreal.

Lots to see and visit. I was able to walk around easily, I visited the Tulip Festival and there was a shuttle bus that stopped and picked up passengers from different hotels close to me. You paid once for the round trip and could return whenever you wanted which made it very convenient. There are several restaurants close to my hotel so there was no problem finding one to eat at.
This bed and breakfast is located close to downtown Ottawa, byward market,... We were greeted by our host Vittorio who was very friendly and provided us some nice suggestions for dinner. The rooms are very nice with decent air conditioning. We could park our car next to the house.
The breakfast is freshly prepared by Vittorio and is really superb! He gladly handed us one of the recipes to try out ourselves at home.
I would strongly suggest this bed and breakfast and would stay there again.
The apartment was in a quiet part of town with very easy access (by car) to downtown Ottawa. The unit was bright despite being at just below ground level. Loads of windows along with privacy blinds which allowed the light in. Any help or support needed was a phone call away. Access to the building and unit was by door code and then lockbox. All information to get to the parking and self-access was provided in advance of our arrival. We also asked for an earlier check in time, which was provided.
Great location in Downtown Ottawa, walking distance to all attractions. Great size apartment, well equipped kitchen, super comfy bed and quiet at night time. WiFi worked well. Really useful having laundry room available.Lots of thoughtful touches to make stay comfortable. Apartment and reception areas spotlessly clean and fresh smelling .Staff very welcoming and friendly. Communication via app very good and check in was flawless. Thoroughly enjoyed our time in Ottawa....beautiful city.
The staff were very nice and accommodating, we were there for a sports event and we needed to take a shower after so the owner extended our checkout to 1:30 pm which was very much appreciated.
The area around the hotel was very quiet, and the seating area outside is well shielded from the road so you can easily picnic there for dinner.
It was only 15 min drive from downtown Ottawa , and few minutes drive from many restaurants and grocery stores.
I had never heard of Sonder before and I am so glad I tried their hotel. The location was great! Near all the tourist attractions, University of Ottawa, the Rideau Centre, and tons of food options on Elgin. The O-Train wasn't too far. All the staff were super friendly. Security was also top notch. As a solo female traveller I felt so safe even being downtown. My friends who visited were also very impressed.
The jail hostel has been maintained for almost 50 years. It was a good experience staying there ,I chose to stay after reading the reviews. I enjoyed my stay , the place itself gave me goosebumps when I took the tour of the hostel. The place, staff, breakfast, location everything was good .it was in the heart of the downtown Ottawa. Close to the shopping district, famous restaurants and museums.
The house is lovely, very clean and well maintained. Vittorio is a great host and prepares delicious breakfasts. He even saved me breakfast the first day, when I couldn't make it in time due to an early morning appointment, so thanks again for that! The property is located just a few minutest walk away from downtown Ottawa.

Absolutely fantastic! Great location, easy to find parking entrance as with the construction happening downtown some hotel parkings are hard to navigate. Room is spacious and super clean and comfy. Ice machine available and tab water is drinkable and delicious.

Each of the rooms in this hotel is a suite, with a kitchen (including full-size stove, full-size fridge and a dish washer!) and a living room with a foldable sofabed. It's a prime location, close to downtown Ottawa, with parking across the street.

The breakfast was first rate with a lot of choices, eggs, meat, bread, yogurt, fruit, waffles, juices, coffeee, cereal, etc.
The hotel while close to the highway, was quiet. It was easy to acess the train and bus, but downtown Ottawa was just 7 minutes by car.
The staff were incredibly friendly. The hotel itself was very modern with an excellent lobby and the rooms are fantastic. Was not overpriced either, despite being in the downtown core. will definitely come again
