Lake Louise Inn, hotel in Lake Louise

Featuring a heated indoor pool and hot tubs, this Lake Louise hotel offers 2 on-site restaurants and a lounge. Guest rooms include views of the surrounding mountains.

Nothing was good w this stay. I was traveling w some friends to Banff, Jasper, & Lake Louise. We all checked in at the same time. I was told by the desk staff "we are over sold on Booking.com rooms........would you like something else?" My travel companions spent less than I did on Booking.com and booked directly on the hotel's website. I was booked into a staff room in a completely different building on the property. I was very disappointed w the room and what I paid vs what I expected.

Perfectly situated half way between Lake Louise and Banff. A 5 minute drive to Johnston Canyon. Use of rental bikes for the Bow Valley Parkway. Rustic log cabins. Close to train track which is cool - ear plugs were provided - didn’t hear a peep with them in (and I am a light sleeper).

It's a great place to visit if you have just one day and would like to do a lot. You can leave your car near the lake, and the walk to the lake won't take too long. Lake Louise is very beautiful during the summer (after June 21) and also lovely during the winter. My recommendation is to always check the photos of the lake before commenting so it will be a surprise for you if on May 26 it still has ice on top.

Lake Louise is a beautiful picturesque area of Banff that is easily accessible off the Trans Canada not far from Calgary airport. The town has limited accommodations and during peak season can be difficult to secure a room, so book early. During the winter months the proximity of the town to the ski resorts is great, and the Moraine Lake snowshoe hike is beautiful. For a closer and more convenient experience, skating and walking on Lake Louise is an amazing experience, and with the Chateau ice bar at your disposal, a perfect way to enjoy nature without needing to venture off the beaten path. The Lake Louise Inn has a wonderful full service restaurant that serves some off the chart, top notch pizza's with local brews if that's your way to enjoy it. Breakfast is available at most of the hotels I've stayed in, inquire when booking, it may be included with your stay. Summer, well, it's busy...! Be prepared too wait in lineups, and book your spot for the tour bus to the lake early.

We did not realise that their was a shuttle bus to the ski resort. This would have been great for us, as the walk from the car park to the ski area is a considerable distance if you do not get there early.

I love Lake Louise, it is beautiful!

I love Lake Louise, it is beautiful! The village has a lot to offer any level tourist/traveler. There are plenty of restaurants and shops to choose from. The prices are quite high and really do need to be reduced in the tourist shops. It has world class skiing and unmatched natural beauty.

Amazing place to visit even in Winter (late Nov), all the christmas decorations were up, we still walked 1/2 way around the lake. Fairmont Chateu upgraded us to top floor lake view room, we watched the sun come up over Lake Louise....that was very special. Not much else to do in Lake Louise at winter if you don't ski. Lake Louise Village is nothing. Bow Valley Parkway is just beautiful. Do Johnston Canyon but definitely need cleats if there is snow on the ground as the paths become very slippery. Try get there at 10am or before as less people. By lunch time it is very busy.

The views are awesome so draws hordes of people. Found it to be extremely crowded. Must travel by bus to Lake Morraine and if you drive to Lake Louise, expect to pay $20 for parking. Free after 7:00 PM.

The view of Lake Louise from our room window would have been beautiful, except that the lake was completely frozen and covered over with snow. The hotel is right on the lake which is of course, lovely. The mountain setting is very beautiful. It was nice to have an electric kettle in the room. The bedside lamp had 2 settings, one brighter and one less bright, which was appreciated for nighttime ambience when we were going to bed. Almost every member of the staff we interacted with was very professional and kind.

The Hostel staff was friendly and helpful when checking in, giving us good suggestions when we asked for hikes to do. It was easy to find our room as well and we liked the location for visiting Lake Louise. The bathroom was clean and always available when I needed it. The restaurant in the hostel was amazing and was fairly priced. It was too busy to eat at for our one night for dinner, but not too busy for breakfast thankfully. I think if you are familiar with hostel stays, this is a great option.

We loved our night at Mountaineer Lodge which is very close to the Information Centre & Village shops, though Lake Louise would be about an hour’s walk. Everything is good quality from the large, clean newly renovated room & array of toiletries to the breakfast included in room price. There is a wide variety of breakfast food which is continually filled up - even vegan muffins! 😋 The staff were friendly & helpful. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Our queen pet friendly suite (we didn’t bring pets) was renovated with modern furnishings and amenities. The bed was comfortable and it was great to have a sitting area and microwave/refrigerator/sink. The hot tub room was beautifully cedar panelled and clean. The lodge is in a perfect location for everything Lake Louise has to offer. Breakfast was hardy and a great start to a day of skiing. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The location of this inn was ideal for our trip in the Lake Louise area. The inn has useful services like restaurants for guests only which removed the pressure to find a spot to eat after long days out and about, and a pool/hot tubs on site which was a real bliss after long hikes. The restaurants on site are good, although a little overpriced (like everything else in the village).

I was with good company It’s beautiful out in the lake Louise area Close to ski hill. We like the one girl who was working Saturday evening. So much snow made it very pretty. I know the cabins are amazing and you can have a real wood burning fire in them. We didn’t stay in cabin unfortunately. Skating rink Outdoor fire pits Fat bikes on site .. Very pretty out there

The hotel is set in a beautiful location with great access to the village. It is also easy to walk to Lake Louise from the Prost hotel (4km up hill). The hotel feels very comfortable and the staff and great. The rooms are big and the beds are really comfy. I also like that they all have balcony’s. The post pub is also great - good food and selection of beverages.

The hotel is right on Lake Louise the location doesn't get any better than that! The hotel itself is grand just like most other fairmont hotels. Restaurants were also great with a good view and great food, and I felt they were reasonably priced. The manager, Nick, was incredible and thoughtful, he made the stay a lot more enjoyable!

The hotel is a stroll away from Lake Louise so you can beat the traffic and walk over to suit, it was literally 3 minutes away on foot. the hotel is 'quirky' kind of high end rustic. the restaurant and bar are great and we ate there both nights. the setting is lovey with the sounds of wildlife outside the door.

Great place to stay to see a unique treasure -Moraine Lake - without all the daytime crowds around. Nice cabins with wood fires and lovely views. The food was first class and although the accomodation is expensive, dinner was reasonably priced and a cooked breakfast is included.
