We stayed in the White Sands guest suite. Bed and bedding were exceptional, sleeping room was spacious. Loved having the windows open to hear the waves. Grounds were lovingly designed and maintained.
Cape Breton Highland National Park is 10 minutes’ drive from this inn. A free breakfast buffet is available to guests and rooms are soundproofed for maximum privacy.
Great hiking. Good dinner across from the skyline and wonderful brunch at highlands golf course. Interesting rock beach - love the sound of the waves in the rocks. Swam at north beach which was lovely!

Ingonish is a wonderful piece of heaven in Nova Scotia.
Ingonish is a wonderful piece of heaven in Nova Scotia. The views are beautiful-breath taking! There are a myriad of hiking trails with various levels of difficulty and beautiful views. The Skyline Trail is not to be missed! There are several beaches and fresh water lakes. Opportunities to rent kayaks, sups, etc. Whale watching & other organized tours. There are helicopter tours to view the area and a wonderful gondala taking you to the top of Cape Smokey with a nice trail leading to a lake & various viewing platforms. The best sunsets in Nova Scotia! If shopping is your thing there are numerous local boutiques with hand crafts such as glass blowing, award winning handmade quilts, wood working, pottery, etc. There are some great restos for fine dining, or causual for a drink or burgers or a lobster roll. Highland Links Golf Course is excellent, rated 1 of the best in Canada. You may find yourself teeing off next to a moose. Ingonish is full of natural wonders and things to do for all ages. A must see destination.

Love Ingonish, the weather was perfect for our trip, the beaches are beautiful, and the scenery is absolutely gorgeous. We had dinner at the Seagull restaurant, their food is just amazing, there were four of us and we each ordered a different meal from the menu, all four meals were perfect, huge plates of delicious food. We went at the end of July and stayed at the Sea breeze cabins which we loved. My morning view, sitting on the deck looking out towards the ocean was just what I needed even the local wildlife came to visit( a rabbit, a chipmunk and the tweeting of the birds) just made everything so much more relaxing. I’m not much of a swimmer but there is a spot just up from the cabins near the wharf that you can swim, it’s quiet and the sand and water are beautiful ( we love that spot). We were in the middle of a heat wave so the beach was the perfect spot to melt away.

Franey Trail is nearby and it is a challenging 3 hour loop. Enjoyed it a lot. Bring a walking stick. Mosquitoes increased as the day progressed. Our evening in June was uncomfortable.
Not many restaurants. We wound up at Brookside takeout stand with awesome lobster rolls.

Ingonish has a lovely beach. Very easy to get around. We had dinner at the Seagull restaurant which I would highly recommend both for service, food quality and quantity. A good breakfast option is the Bean Barn Cafe and Deli.
We would have loved to do the smoke head trail but couldn't due to inclement weather

The Freshmart in Ingonish is a great little grocery store where you can get most anything you would need. The variety of trails was wonderful for all the ages and abilities our family comprised from 6 years old to teen boys to grandparents. The beach across from Sea Breeze cottages was amazing with both sand and rocks to climb, and gorgeous views.
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at 20 Acre Woods. The hosts were very inviting and it is a lovely accommodation. We stayed two nights in the King room so we could visit the Ingonish area and do the hike at the Keltic Lodge. We ate two dinners at the Coastal Restaurant Pub which is very near. Excellent service and food!
I would recommend friends and family to stay at 20 Acre Woods.
Very clean, simple cabins with a lovely little outdoor patios. The cabins are spotless and the beds are comfortable - great place to stay after exploring the area. The owners are so friendly and accommodating - it's very family friendly and in a great location for exploring Ingonish. This was our second time staying here and we'll be back again.
Despite the dreadful weather, we enjoyed our stay at 20 Acre Woods. The rooms are exceptionally clean and nicely decorated, the owners are lovely, and the breakfasts are truly amazing. Location is ideal for hikers - a lot of trails nearby. If you'd like to support small business, book your stay directly on their website.
The hosts were welcoming. The friendly atmosphere helped us to relax. Excellent location of this B&B in Ingonish with views of the Atlantic sea provided us with a special stay in this beautiful area of the Cape Breton. Highly recommended B&B. Thank you Ophelia and Brent for your wonderful hospitality.
We enjoyed everything at Noelle 's place. It's very nice and cozy. It's also equipped with everything we need that makes us feel at home. The kitchen is well stocked up, the bathroom is spacious and sparkling clean. We would definitely come back and recommend to anyone visiting Ingonish.
I was most impressed with the personal touch of small decorative items. It made the cottage feel more like a temporary home than a hotel space. It raised my cheer which inturn increased my enjoyment of the space. The liquid soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower was a nice touch too.
The cottages were very clean and a nice size for our family of four. They were conveniently located near restaurants, a grocery store, great hiking, and beautiful scenery. Each cottage was provided with a very useful guide to area restaurants (with menus) and other places.
Skyline is so incredibly close to Ingonish beach, the Main Street restaurants, NSLC etc.
Cabin 4 is gorgeous and spacious. We loved the large deck. We were also impressed with the kitchen!
We used the BBQs for dinner! Amazing to have that facility on site.
Great location on the Cabot Trail with beautiful views from the rooms and sturdy Adirondack chairs.
I was especially grateful to the staff for help in taking care of an issue I had, they were very accommodating!
Our cabin was very clean and well located. It is near the Ingonish beach and hiking trails. Sylvie the owner made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.
The location was perfect for us. Ocean views and an additional beautifully designed garden to admire! The location for trail hiking, beaches and more , exceeded our expectations .
This stay had a wonderful view and location. The motel was central to places to eat and visit in Ingonish, and the contact-free check-in was simple to complete.
