We were there for a medical procedure and there was a snowstorm so it was a good place to be safely. We utilized the restaurant because it was close and the staff was very friendly there. We travel to Cranbrook often from Creston , but don't often stay overnight

Cranbrook hosted a wonderful Kootenay Gran Fondo bike race.
Cranbrook hosted a wonderful Kootenay Gran Fondo bike race. It was excellently organized with lovely volunteers. The trail from Cranbrook to Kimberley was perfect as was the entire race. In general the people of Cranbrook were friendly and kind.

The room wasn’t bad but very basic.
The room wasn’t bad but very basic. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast option was a disaster. A muffin, a juice box and a piece of fruit in a bag is NOT breakfast. The listing needs to change showing No Breakfast.

No complaints expect maybe the wifi could be better, beds were comfortable, kitchenette was more than we needed but very well stocked. Despite not looking like much from the outside our room was nice and comfortable. Would definitely stay again!
Also The Heid Out/Fisher Peak Brewing was family friendly and had the best food by a long shot! Was worth a really long wait too!

Amazing views and superb building.
Amazing views and superb building. However, there is room for improvement considering the hotel facilities. Comparatively very expensive and no value for the money as there are no meals included in the booking. It is a great location for a photo shoot. However, I do not recommend it for accommodation purposes.

We stayed in the downtown area were there is a very large park - I think it’s the Rotary Park. We were there on a Saturday and they have live music and serve beer and coolers in part of the park. There are a number of restaurants and shops in the downtown area we stayed at. We stayed at the Baker Hotel which is an old brick hotel that is renovated. We ate at the Heid Out & Fisher Peak Brewing Company for dinner twice. We saw deer just walking around neighborhoods, which was really fun for us.
Pleasantly surprised by how clean and comfortable this motel presented. Nice to have a mini fridge and microwave in the room as there is no restaurant in the motel. Very convenient to downtown Cranbrook. Pretty petunias line the outdoor corridors. Though an older motel, it has been renovated. Furniture is simple but fairly new. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
Loved that breakfast was included, even when the restaurant was closed Sunday/Monday, there was a boxed breakfast available. Very quiet hotel (other than traffic on the Strip). Very clean and comfortable. Loved the indoor pool and jacuzzi! The central location was perfect for walking to the Tamarack Mall, since I don’t drive. A great menu at the restaurant as well.
walking into the hotel you can tell try really care for the property. it is older and could use some updating. my room had a sofa that I wouldn’t ever recommend anyone sleeping on - but it had a very comfy bed and a great massaging shower head :)
found it a nice place to relax after a long day at work.
If you advertise a hot breakfast then there should be one.
You could put on your website that pool etc are closed and no hot breakfast. We only book hotels with hot breakfast included, we went elsewhere for breakfast which adds another &30.00 to our expenses.
The location is very nice and the old buildings are very nice as well, very nice restaurant and prices are not bad, restaurant serves are very friendly and nice , we are definitely go back there again if we go to Cranbrook
This Best Western exceeded my expectations. It was well maintained, good value for money and the staff were friendly and helpful. A bonus was the small restaurant, The Modern Olive. The food was excellent.
pool, room had comfortable seating something not available in most facilities. why do hoteliers not realize that you are tired from travel and do not enjoy sitting on your bed to converse or watch Tv
The property was a reflection of the past. a dark past but kudos to keeping it real with the display of the history. Absolute beautiful building restored into a hotel for people to take in.
The buffet breakfast was good, and with a longer time frame than most hotels, so that was nice.
The bed was comfy. The pool was really nice for the kids to play in .
The property shows pride of ownership and is clean and fairly spacious (we had a one queen room on second floor). Great room for a pet friendly accommodation.
