Quiet, Peaceful and very close to restaurants, grocery and national park. I enjoyed staying there. I love the hot tub, and it helps when I have a sore body and legs after my long trekking.
L'Auberge Doucet Inn offers 13 nonsmoking modern rooms with a picturesque view of either Chéticamp Island in the front or the Cape Breton Highlands at the rear of the Inn.

Location is the best. The beautiful lawn along the long driveway is gorgeous. We had a lunch picnic there.
The Archie & Isidore Hotel is offering accommodations in Chéticamp. There's a terrace and guests can use free WiFi and free private parking.

We needed a charger for our electric car, much appreciated. The room was very well appointed and comfortable. Didn’t use the hot tub but that was a nice bonus.
Boasting views of the ocean and mountain from their guestrooms, the Yellow Sidecar Bed and Breakfast offers free Wi-Fi access throughout and a daily breakfast.

Beautiful location. Nothing better than sitting on the front porch watching the sunset.
Margaree Harbor View Inn B&B is located in Margaree Harbor. It offers free Wi-Fi access, a full daily breakfast and a shared patio overlooking Margaree Highland Mountains.
Le Portage is a very nice golf course. Virtually every hole is secluded and the whole facility is well tended and the fee is reasonable. After our round on a Saturday morning, we went to the Doryman's restaurant where a ceilidh was happening. Terrific maritime music and many patrons took their turn at step dancing. Great fun! Finally, a nice meal at the Harbour restaurant rounded out our fabulous day. We were lucky... the next day it poured buckets and we left a day earlier than planned.

Nice small town with pleasant stony beach.
Nice small town with pleasant stony beach. Doryman's Pub was perfect for dinner with live music. The community was there dancing to traditional music. Great place to stay during Cabot Trail drive around Cape Breton.

We totally enjoyed Cheticamp, the accommodations were excellent, the friendliness' of the town folk was exceptional, The restaurants, grocery staff at the Co-Op and the legion members were all very inviting and they all treated us with warmth and welcoming. Cheticamp is where I will continue to bring our out of province guests to visit,
Fantastic people. Beautiful rooms. They are very modern and super clean.
I arrived on a motorcycle in the rain. Another couple riders showed up a short time later, in the pouring rain.
Greg drove the 3 of us into town and dropped us off at a restaurant for supper, then came back and picked us up, and took us back to the Motel, so we didn’t have to ride into town in the rain.
You don’t get service like that anywhere.
I highly recommend staying here, if you’re doing the Cabot Trail.
You won’t be disappointed.
The included breakfast was OK but not great. Not many choices in Cheticamp, so in this regard, the location was great. First room they put us in was terrible, piece of the door fell off on entering and curtain over main window was hanging on by a few hooks. Switched us to a much better room. All in all a good place to stay for touring Cape Breton Highland National Park the next day. For the price and the free breakfast it was a good place, just not great compared to other places we stayed in Nova Scotia.
we had one of the larger cabins which had a nice size kitchen/living room/dining room combo. Cabin had all the kitchen supplies like pots and pans, cutlery, dishes, and full size refrigerator. 1 local grocery store (CoOp) was about 5 minutes away but check hours….things close early. Also Cape Breton National park entrance 5 minutes away which was convenient. Ocean directly across the street(no access) pretty views.
Accolade is on the back road in Cheticamp so it is nice and quiet throughout the day. There are trails nearby and you are surrounded by fields and forests. Kevin is a great host and will share the history of his family and Cheticamp with you. The dorms are small, clean, and comfortable. There is a small kitchen you can use to prep food if you want. Very unique hostel in a renovated barn.
It was convenient. The hotel needs some serious updating and to refinish walls and flooring. Everything was very clean except the floors. The staff was great. The breakfast was ok. Wouldn't rave about it. It was hot and had a decent variety. The coffee was horrible though. The price was ridiculous but I waited too long to make the reservation and there wasn't anything else left.
Everything was exceptional and beyond our expectations. Michelle is so kind and made sure we had everything we needed. The room was very clean, cozy, and felt like home. Michelle thinks of all the little details that can make one's stay perfect. We will definitely book a room at Cheticamp Outback Inn when we return to Cape Breton!
The suites are beautifully decorated and you are right on the water. Conveniently located in Cheticamp.
Everything was extremely clean and the owner answered the phone each time I called with a question. Very helpful.
This would be perfect for a couple wanting to spend a weekend alone near the water.
The hotel has an amazing and familiar vibe. The bedroom was comfortable with a very clean bathroom.
Loved the fact that it had an extra pillow, as I use at least 2.
The breakfast was the best part. They offer a menu with different options for your breakfast. The waitress was very attentive and friendly.
The location for entering or exiting The Cape Breton National Park is excellent. it is in the center of Cheticamp with several restaurants within walking distance. The rooms were basic but perfectly adequate for a short stay and well equipped (coffee maker). The bonus is the view of the harbor!
Extremely liked it! Best hotel room I’ve ever stayed in, clean, spacious, and so well-equipped with everything we need! Michelle is also such a nice person, it’s quite obvious that she put much time and effort into her business. I’m sure she’s one of the best in this industry.
Great place situated near the entrance of the cabot trail / national park. We were two friends but I think this place would be perfect for a couple. Check in was simple and easy and the hotel was very quick to respond to our messages or questions. Great place to stay.
They gave us the King size room on the main floor, even though we had booked a queen room upstairs. They saved us a trip upstairs. The breakfast was simple, but very tasty! Beautiful grounds and very close to the restaurants and shopping in Cheticamp.
It was a lovely spot right in the heart of Cheticamp on the Cabot Trail. Close to restaurants, beaches, golf, whale watching, hiking. The kitchen was very spacious with everything needed, staff friendly, very clean cottage , good water pressure etc.
Amazing central location in Cheticamp. So close to trails ( Acadia Trail, Skyline among others). Beautiful view of the bay with a little boardwalk where we even saw blue herons landing! Delicious food in the restaurant attached to the auberge.
Very spacious suite with a living room, a kitchen and a bedroom. Great location in Cheticamp, very close to restaurants, groceries, marina, whale watching excursions, gas stations, etc. Quiet at night. Restaurant on site.
The room was comfortable and sweetly decorated. The location in Cheticamp was perfect. Check-in and out was a breeze. The bed side cubby thing was a great feature to hold everything.
Staff excellent. This place was not right in town, but cheticamp is so small it was 3 min away. Beautiful place like new. Staff gave all the info we needed.
