We felt very welcome, the hosts were extremely helpful: they walked with us to show where to hike and picked us up in Embau after we hiked there. The beds were comfortable and the shower good. Also, the location was nice: quiet, 5 min walk to the beach and very easy to go for a hike (Vale da Utopia).

Amazing beach, friendly people and a lot of restaurants and things to do. However, I would avoid it during high peak season. We were there during the new year's eve week and there were way too many people for the city infrastructure (Expect water and power shortage during peak hours). Chaotic traffic in and out of the village.
