The breakfast was a feast and all the meals we had were delicious. We especially loved the smoothies. All the staff were very kind, friendly and extremely helpful. We loved that it was quiet and peaceful. The pool was warm and clean and refreshing. The beds were comfortable. I could hear the waves washing over us all through the night. So peaceful! It is right on a beautiful beach! They connected us to have an afternoon on a dune buggy adventure! So fun!

What an amazing place. For me Cumbuco is just the right size. No huge buildings, yet the town is big enough to offer all the things you need. They have a very cool boardwalk in the evenings where they sell crafts. There is a burger joint called Armadillo Burger & Grill which had very good bands most every night and good food and drinks at a decent price. The real deficiency of the town is the roads, they are in terrible shape. However, most places you can get on foot and it is only in the town of Cumbuco that they are bad. Most of the drive from the airport in Fortaleza is good.

Cumbucu is wonderfull, local people are kind and helpfull. Very good cafe mania and restaurants. Dream beaches. Water from sea very nice. Pousada MEUS AMIGOS KITESURF very close to the Beach. Only 150 m. The pousada is in the middel of the town. Shops and restaurants only 100 m from pousada. I love Cumbucu.

It's an amazing resort, all inclusive. The employees were beyond expectation, very helpful and professionals, from front desk, bartenders, environmental personal to the monitors. The activities were very diversified and fun. The rooms are spacious but need some upgrades. The Wi-Fi system is very outdated and only available at the lobby, which for the huge property is very inconvenient. The restaurant beside the pool is a little annoying, since the smell of food is present all day while you enjoying the huge pool. Overall was a nice experience, and hope they improve a bit to make it better.

The little village is nothing to write home about, but it is safe and has enough life to entertain everybody. It has a few markets, but I
'd recommend going to the one you walk in through an upwards ramp. You can find an ATM inside as well.
What I loved the most was the immense beach that at certain points was extremely peaceful. We went during the "low season" ( August ) but the weather was fine still.
It is quite windy, but it doesn't bother you and helps cool things off a bit from the blazing sun.

Cumbuco has great kite surfing and lots of small hotels. We stayed at Vila Coqueiros and it was lovely. Very thorough kite surfing instruction. Met people from all over the world there for the kite surfing.
Downtown Cumbuco doesn't seem to have much to offer but we didn't go there much. First time we tried to eat downtown, credit card wasn't accepted although I had just used it at the local supermarket for snack stuff. Had this happen several times but the other proprietors always fixed. Be prepared to run into that problem.
great property and an awesome staff! they will be there if you need help with anything or any special request. thumbs up for the receptionists and in special the door host that assist us with our luggage(very sweet and kind). the waiter will remember your room number by heart and will do great food recommendations(great drinks by the way special the tequila sunrise), the staff will be there for you on sun or rain ready to help. this is definitely a hotel that you fell even better then your own home s2
Being on the third floor and facing the wind direction, there is almost always a cooling breeze from the ocean such with open windows the apartment is safe and cool. I did not need to use the air conditioning the whole week I was there.

Super friendly staff and owners who ensured our stay was as great as possible and accommodated all our requests. The suite rooms on the first floor overlooking the courtyard and pool are hard to beat, amazing view of greenery and palm trees and we even had a glimpse of the sea. No complains whatsoever, would definitely stay there again!

Everything went great at our stay at Ocean View, the apartment was spacious and clean, beautiful view at the kite beach..you can launch your kite right in front the condo, kitesurf storage, walking distance from the town with restaurants, shops and market.

Great for kitesurfing, like 2 houses from the water but they have the KiteCabana beach lounge as well right on the beach, plus a kite spot to setup. The owner and staff are super nice. You feel like you belong there.
Xainã is a cute little hotel a block away from the Cumbuco beach. It is very cozy and homey. The staff is excellent and the breakfast is really yummy. If we ever return to Ceará, we will definitely stay at Xainã.
