The place would have been fine except they were hosting a wedding. Although they messaged us the night before letting us know, they said the music would last until 2am. It went until 4am. If the music was at a normal volume, this would have been fine. Oh no, the music was absolutely blasting — so loud that our beds would shake and no amount of ear plugs or noise canceling headphones would provide relief from the endless, pulsating bass. To add insult to injury, there was a ceremony the next night which the hotel never told us about. This time the music was slightly lower and eventually ended close to 1am. Both nights, the staff proved to be profoundly unhelpful and when my friend floated the idea of us getting a partial refund while checking out, the staff insisted that they had told us and proceeded to request the full payment. Exhausted and not wanting to spend a moment longer in this disaster of a situation, we paid and left. The wifi was also wretched. Overall, this was hands down the worst lodging-related experience I've had while traveling.

The location is excellent and we were at the lake. Our balcony overlooked the lake and the mountains and really breathless. The food is excellent and Subeena the hostess is kind and a great cook. Be sure to try her fresh home made juices. You can take a boat ride on the lake and even eat your meal on the boat if you like. We enjoyed the walking/ hiking in the local areas.
