I stayed at Shah Palace Hotel. It was a perfect location. There so many tourist tour guide offer the trips package. The hotel I choose just walking distance from tourist attraction and restaurant. Sometimes we use bolt ( similar to uber). It's very convenient.

A very vibrant city with a rich history. The Old City is such a piece of art. The traffic is a bit pain and to get around to near by areas its recommended to walk rather than hailing a cab. To feel and absorb the real beauty of the city can only be done on the long walks this city deserves. The overall city is extremely safe. The food has a lot of variety but its definitely not among the best in the world.

Basically they need to learn how to treat tourist, stop their stupid scaming which ruins the whole experience of Baku.
Its beautiful but a small city, had been enough with just 4 days. The cultural food is not a big deal so dont visit because of the food! Be careful with the hotels showing you updated pictures that does not match with reality! specially breakfast items.
We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel and in Icheri Sheher (The old City of Baku) in general.
We liked everything about this hotel, the historic vibe of the place is magnificent! The room was super clean and nicely decorated, and the room A\C worked very well on hot humid days. The hotel owners are friendly and super helpful. We liked the place so much that we canceled our booking in another hotel in Nizami street and stayed in Sazeli for our full stay in Baku. I would highly recommend this hotel to couples and families with older kids.
Most Amazing Hotel with probably the best and most friendly hospitality and staff. Location was fantastic and right in the centre of the city with an amazing array of restaurants, shops and touristic attractions footsteps distance from the hotel. Rooms are beautiful and most comfortable, clean and hygienic. Food is fantastic. I was overwhelmed with the friendly and professional service provided by staff at every level and look forward to my next visit so that I can once again reside at the Merchant in Baku.
The staff is great. They speak English and they contacted me directly after I booked. Mr. Murad, Mr. Nariman and Mr. Ibrahim were all genuinely friendly, real people with the willing to help. I enjoyed my stay. You'll get more than what you paid for at this hotel. Don't over think it, book it now.
It's in the top of the old city, and the roof top overseas Baku and the Twin Flame towers. Also the sea. All in all I will definitely make this the hotel I always choose when I come to Baku.

I really liked this hotel. The hotel is located in the city center and is decorated in a classic style. I booked an economy room for two for $20 in the city center, which was great, but they immediately upgraded me to a standard room, they also have a balcony room and a deluxe room.

Everything in this hotel is incredible. Location, value for money and people who are working in this hotel .. etc. I would like to thank the reception girls in this hotel (they let us feel like one of their family and they were very supportive and trying to do their best to meet our requires) .. just keep it up and sure we are going to reserve this hotel again whenever we are coming back in the Old City.
Breakfast was good with standard varieties. The highlight of the hotel is the location and Ms. Nigar, who very efficiently helped us plan our trips. She was very kind and made sure our trips are executed effectively.
Nizami street is 5-7 mins walk. if you download BOLT app, than you can get the taxi for less than 5 mannat to almost every attraction like baku old city, Carpet Museum/little Venice etc
Lovely small hotel, closely located to an old city, breakfast like at home, served just for you - eggs with fresh vegetables. It’s street can be noisy at night, which is another side of being in the city centre, the rooms are not big, but ceiling is high, no lift (so not easy if you have suitcases), but staff is very helpful and friendly. All in all had a pleasant stay.
The hotel is 4 stars but it is better than 5 stars hotel i stayed on last time it is cosy and comfortable the reception staff are very polite and friendly customer service is good and the breakfast delicious we are 3 and they give us 3 single beds room is clean and comfortable i loveddd the hotel we’ll definitely going back if we want to visit baku again
They were not anal about checkout times and barely kept track of who was and wasn't paying. While this doesn't make up the best practice for a hotel, it does make the tourist's stay easier. The location was pretty good as well, not at the city centre, but close enough to walk to it and had several restaurants, pubs, supermarkets all around.

A small beautiful hotel in Baku, Staff are super friendly Rooms are super clean daily cleaning service is provided. It is a bit far from Nizami Street and old city But it is easy to go to it through the Bolt application, at a symbolic price of approximately 3 manats.
