After initial booking and immediately prior to arrival requested a ground floor room as we did not wish to carry luggage upstairs as we know this motel. We were told they could accommodate our request at a charge.

AV has everything in the rooms perfectly organised. But why it is so special is all about the beauty and peacefulness of the location. Definitely worth getting this little bit off the beaten track - it was a little moment in Heaven for us.

We were very happy with the responsiveness of the owners. Their directions for the place were helpful and accurate.
The flat is quite spacious and has everything one could need, including washing machine for a longer stay. The bed was comfortable. A short walk down to the river for some excerise after a long drive. We look forward to staying again.

The closeness to Canberra was very beneficial as I heard Vivaldi, some Tchaikovsky, Mozart and Paganini played by the Chamber Philharmonia Cologne which consisted of 5 stringed instruments and a Spanish baritone soloist.
I was lucky to have heard them in the Catholic Chapel. It was the highlight of my trip.

Yass is a super cute little country town with lots of character and cool old Victorian buildings. I'm a building and house creeper, so love wandering around local streets checking out the architecture.
There are a few great cafes and restaurants, and a handful of shops - nothing too fancy. The Yass river provides some nice spots to hike or picnic and the town has a handful of interesting historic places.

It's a lovely town, with magnificent buildings.
It's a lovely town, with magnificent buildings. We tried the Soldiers Club for a meal, and it was good. Last time we went to a pub, and that was good too. We had afternoon tea at the bakery again. Great place to stop for the night, and a lovely walk into town across the bridge.
Greg was very friendly and welcoming. Everything went without a hitch. Extra considerations were noted - provision of a cup to fill the kettle, nice quality tea and coffee (not the dreaded International Roast!), lots of towels. Location next to Yass River - can walk out the back and along the bank to town - can't help thinking this outlook is an unexploited opportunity - there is no view of the river from the room except out of the bathroom window. Air-conditioning was modern. Nice to be able to buy a cold beer after a long motorbike ride!
The personal touches eg nice chocolates, lovely shampoo and conditioner and stuff to wash yourself with. The breakfast very well laid out nice fruit everything is fresh like they had just put it there an hour before I arrived. Truely awesome I’m coming back and spreading the word. I have stayed in other motel rooms and hotel rooms and even a couple of Air BNBs and they were not as nice as you place as the room I stayed in. Thank you 😊😊😊😊🤗🤗
I didn't use the food left for breakfast due to my very early start travelling on to Melbourne. The property was furnished beautifully to suit the property. The kitchen is a shared facility, as well as the toilet/ shower which were both set up beautifully. I loved the older style tiles and the pull cords for the lighting and fan. It is a cold place Yass but the amount of water heaters set-up around the room warmed the place so well.
We always stay at the Thunderbird Motel in Yass because we cannot fault any part of it. The rooms are huge, the bathroom and shower is very comfortable, all facilities work perfectly and the staff are always so obliging. I love the fresh milk in the fridge for a cuppa after a long drive and the packet cookies are a great touch with that long awaited cuppa. It is also a short, easy walk to all shops, cafes and clubs and pubs.
There was a power outage in a storm and the whole of Yass was effected- no food available anywhere, even the servo KFC and Maccas. The owner of the motel provided our kids yogurts, milo bars, chips and fruit from her own kitchen so that they didn’t go hungry. The most generous of people. I would go back to their motel in a heartbeat
Conveniently located on the main road through Yass. Good customer service. Heating worked well and room was fairly quiet. Bathroom was clean and neat. Electric blanket was an added bonus. There was a nicely presented recreation and seating area on the property. The room also had an outdoor courtyard area accessed via a sliding door.
I called to say i would arrive late so the staff preheated the room and left the key under the door mat. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very warm as it is freezing in Yass during July. The decor was old but everything was functional including a hot and powerful shower. Just what you need after a long drive.
The rooms are well set up and they are furnished them in the style of the building. I received a lovely welcome text which explained the the process of getting the keys and accessing the building. All very easy. Yass Central B&B is in a fabulous location; whilst located in the main street it's was very quiet.
Booked a few hours before check in for after hours check in, called the inn to make sure they were able to accommodate and the staff were more than helpful.
Lots of parking in car park and street parking suitable for trucks which is a great bonus! Will definitely stay again when back Yass way
It was a large double room with great kitchen and large bathroom. Very comfortable. Staff were lovely and gave us some ice when asked. Hose for washing your car. A fair walk to the Main Street but only a few minutes by car. Yass is so beautiful in the Autumn 🥰🥰
Beautifully restored building , keeping character whilst being exceedingly comfortable. Lots of homely touches.. Lovely bathroom, spacious accommodation. Great central location. Great being able to find somewhere which allowed us to have our dog.
Loved everything about this place. Our lodging was so clean it seemed newly renovated. The owners were warm and welcoming and taught us a lot about their animals and the farm. Would definitely go back if I get to visit Yass again

Everything is designed with thought. A truly well worth traveller experience. The owners gave me milk and bread plus oats. Everything was perfect. Consider this place if you're visiting Yass!! 7 stars 🤩
