After initial booking and immediately prior to arrival requested a ground floor room as we did not wish to carry luggage upstairs as we know this motel. We were told they could accommodate our request at a charge.

AV has everything in the rooms perfectly organised. But why it is so special is all about the beauty and peacefulness of the location. Definitely worth getting this little bit off the beaten track - it was a little moment in Heaven for us.

The closeness to Canberra was very beneficial as I heard Vivaldi, some Tchaikovsky, Mozart and Paganini played by the Chamber Philharmonia Cologne which consisted of 5 stringed instruments and a Spanish baritone soloist.
I was lucky to have heard them in the Catholic Chapel. It was the highlight of my trip.

Yass is a super cute little country town with lots of character and cool old Victorian buildings. I'm a building and house creeper, so love wandering around local streets checking out the architecture.
There are a few great cafes and restaurants, and a handful of shops - nothing too fancy. The Yass river provides some nice spots to hike or picnic and the town has a handful of interesting historic places.

Comfortable clean spacious room. The mattress on bed gave a good nights sleep. Loved the outside grassed area with bar b q facilities and interesting "decorations"(didn't stay long enough to use bar b q).

It's a lovely town, with magnificent buildings.
It's a lovely town, with magnificent buildings. We tried the Soldiers Club for a meal, and it was good. Last time we went to a pub, and that was good too. We had afternoon tea at the bakery again. Great place to stop for the night, and a lovely walk into town across the bridge.
The Hi Way Motor Inn in Yass is the best place I have ever stayed. It is beautiful, comfortable, you have everything you could want or need in one room.
Aircon, TV, fridge, microwave, security... could you ask for anything more? Well, there is actually more amazingness.

You could not stay anywhere else that has such an amazing and kind owner. I’ll be booking each and every trip I have in the Hi Way Motor Inn in Yass.
We were well impressed! I booked very late driving up the highway and was worried we would be jammed in a small space with uncomfy beds, but it was totally the opposite. Nice quiet spot, really comfy beds, lovely shower, nice and clean room with a surprising amount of space (we had a queen and two singles). A bonus was an easy stroll to the river for a morning jog along a well maintained path. Yass was a great spot to stop.
It was so clean, all the amenities were so nice. Felt more like a home than a motel/hotel. The guests were super accomodating of our 2 little dachshunds and they even provided me with secure parking as I have a work car. awesome location with the river just down the road and walking distance to all grocerie shops and cafes/restaurants. wouldn’t stay anywhere else in YASS.
There was a power outage in a storm and the whole of Yass was effected- no food available anywhere, even the servo KFC and Maccas. The owner of the motel provided our kids yogurts, milo bars, chips and fruit from her own kitchen so that they didn’t go hungry. The most generous of people. I would go back to their motel in a heartbeat
Conveniently located on the main road through Yass. Good customer service. Heating worked well and room was fairly quiet. Bathroom was clean and neat. Electric blanket was an added bonus. There was a nicely presented recreation and seating area on the property. The room also had an outdoor courtyard area accessed via a sliding door.
The rooms are well set up and they are furnished them in the style of the building. I received a lovely welcome text which explained the the process of getting the keys and accessing the building. All very easy. Yass Central B&B is in a fabulous location; whilst located in the main street it's was very quiet.
A great place to stay. Clean rooms close to town. Best motel in Yass. Comfy beds nice and quiet location. breakfast was very disappointing. Monday was only room breakfast.

Beautifully restored building , keeping character whilst being exceedingly comfortable. Lots of homely touches.. Lovely bathroom, spacious accommodation. Great central location. Great being able to find somewhere which allowed us to have our dog.
Breakfast provisions available. Very nice muesli, sourdough bread etc. Included in price. Unexpected furnishings but suited era of building. No staff seen so could not answer question about staff.
What a great place to stop over in Yass. It was spotlessly clean, really quiet and comfortable. Great communication from the host with exact directions and easy entrance, We would recommend staying here.
Everything is designed with thought. A truly well worth traveller experience. The owners gave me milk and bread plus oats. Everything was perfect. Consider this place if you're visiting Yass!! 7 stars 🤩
