When we were planning our holiday, accommodation was quite difficult to find. Railton was a fortunate find in a convenient location. Our room had an ensuite and we were pleased to find it had a fridge as well.
We ate at the hotel 3 times and I particularly liked the venison sausages and vegetables.

I liked that this accommodation was pet friendly. The house was warm and cosy when we arrived. We had great communication from the owner who checked in with us via text at check-in and checkout. Some breakfast items and snacks were provided which we weren't expecting which was a lovely surprise. The games and puzzles provided were also an added nice touch.

Very well located, and although small, facilities were good and best cost-benefit in comparison to any hostel I've stayed in Tasmania: has a car park, laundry is just $2, clean towels offered, comfy communal area.
The staff was very friendly to me, and the cleaners in the common area seem to be doing a great job!

Easy to get to Cradle mountain although road windy but very scenic.
Food and eating places only a few minutes away. However we self catered. A great array of extra condiments available in cottage .
