Straight away I liked how friendly the staff were, and being disabled, it’s all on one level and parking was close , Dianne the manager, made sure I was in the correct room

Wonderful place to stay! A very easy check in/check out process. Perfect privacy, and great communication from Sue with helpful information/ travel tips on how to reach the property too. The kind little gestures - so thoughtful! Kangaroos visited each morning. The stars are so clear and abundant, which make for great photo/star gazing :)
If you're looking for a get-away, to help you detox from phones and 'always on' hamster wheel, this is the place! :)

The Jenolan Caves are very beautiful, and the park staff are extremely knowledgeable and giving with their information. Our stay wasn’t long enough because I’d love to explore a few of the other caves on offer.

We enjoyed our dinner experience in the lovely old dining room - loads of atmosphere and when grants are applied it will be even better. Love the old-worldly charm.
Both dinner and breakfast were excellent and the staff were terrific.
We enjoyed our after-dinner Cave Walk - a perfect way to work off our dinner. Guide was very personable and knowledgeable.
Next time we visit we hope to stay in Caves House rather than Mountain House ... hopefully the renovations will have taken place.

We visited Lucas Cave and The Temple of Baal cave.
We visited Lucas Cave and The Temple of Baal cave. Enjoyed both immensely.
Both tour guides David and Steven were very knowledgeable.
My favourite out of the two was probably The Temple of Baal, a different type of cave formation.
Lucas Cave had over 900 stairs but didn't seem that many. Coloured lighting in Lucas.

We have always loved Jenolean Caves.
We have always loved Jenolean Caves. But since the fires, mud slides and rock falls. It has seen better times. For one of Sydney's premier tourist attractions. It surprises me that there is not more funding for the site. There is restoration work in progress but much of it is yet to be finished.

Last time we visited, some year ago, the area was buzzing but due to Covid restrictions, there were very few people around, as the caves had only just re-opened with sever restrictions on numbers. Book cave tours before you go would be my advice. Lots of walking as we stayed in accommodation up the hill from Caves House. Jenolan Caves also has some beautiful (but steep) walks. It is the start or end of the Six Foot Track and we followed the trail for a bit before our cave tour. Lovely walks to Carlotta Arch and down into the Valley to the old cricket pitch, which took us over suspension bridges and through canyons. We saw lots of wildlife, kangaroos, lizards and lyrebirds. Amaxzng.

The road in was a bit tricky as recent flooding had affect the main road so had to come in via Oberon (Edith Road) an interesting experience. The accommodation was at Caves House and it is superb. A great place to explore and see the difficulties our ancestors experienced.
Undertook the Lucas Cave tour and enjoyed our guides in depth knowledge of how the cave came into being and the added stories of the early inhabitants’ exploration. Most enjoyable.
Word of warning though to 6' footers and above do remember to duck occasionally - watching steps I kept finding the roof the hard way (only twice - I learned quickly). Very Highly recommended.
The location was wonderful. It was very quiet with great views, and close to the Jenolan Caves. An added bonus was to watch the wallabies grazing in the early morning. It was a convenient base for our cave tour, and trips to Oberon, Bathurst and Lithgow.
The views were beautiful, very close to Jenolan Caves, nice toasty fire prepared for us on arrival. Everything was sparkling clean, great shower, kids loved the bunk beds.
