I've been to many hotels in Austria during my last trip, and no doubt that Hotel Furian in St. Wolfgang was the best of them!
The owner of the hotel (sorry I couldn't get his name) is super friendly and gives you a sense like you're at home.
The location is quiet but close enough to the main street.
The hotel facilities are great.
Wonderful breakfast.
The view from the room is superb.
Free parking.
Strongly recommend!

Excellent family stay. Hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, real professionals. They helped us with everything - suggesting best bike roots, advising on sightseeing locations, booking tickets and many more. The hotel was very comfortable, cozy, very clean. We booked a regular family room but the owner upgraded it to a top suite. Location was very convenient, calm and quiet. Restaurant provides excellent local but also Thai food. We will definitely come back to you again!

St Wofgang is a small, beautiful town situated right on the lake. A good amount of restaurants and shops. The town had a music festival and dance performance outside while we were there. Seems like there are always things going on at the weekend in the spring/summer. We enjoyed a boat ride on the lake, visited Hallstadt and the saltmines there, and took the cog railroad up the mountain for amazing views of the whole area. We stayed for five nights and it was perfect.

St. Wolfgang is lovely but not pedestrian-friendly. The town is chopped up by a highway tunnel. The road from the Garni Buchinger hotel into the town is narrow, mostly with no sidewalks and pitch dark at night. There's a lot of traffic on this road making it unsafe for pedestrians. For this reason we had no choice but to drive the short distance into town each night for dinner.

St. Wolfgang is at the bottom of Schafberg and obvius choice to stay. Village is small, very, very nice (absolutely comparable and probably even nicer than nearby and well known Hallstat). Lake view is visible from almost every house, there are a lot of hotels, really nice shops and a lot of restaurants.
Like elsewhere in Austria, note that shops close early and restaurants close at 22h (.there is a single hotel bar opened until 24h, at least that was correct at the moment of our stay).
I had problems finding gluten free products (local supermarket only) and coffee shops which serve lactose free milk (single coffee shop).
Absolutely recommend st. Wolfgang and will likely come again at some point. There is a lot to see and do here.

Nice historical village.
Nice historical village. Possibility of excursions around the lake, sailing on the lake, hiking in the surrounding mountains. Prices in restaurants are higher, as are prices in hotels. It seems to me that some of them exaggerate. (both hotels and restaurants)

the city itself is very picturesque. On the main street there is a pleasant atmosphere - cafes, shops, in general, a resort. Unlike other similar towns, there are many trekking routes, any kind of water sports on the lake, a bus connection to nearby sights and very-very beautiful everywhere.
The private beach is wonderful,
+ The staff is really very friendly and helpful, but not at all intrusive.
+ I also liked that paddle boards and bicycles were available free of charge.
+ Breakfast leaves nothing else to be desired - its great.
+ Most rooms have lake views, balconies and view is stunning.
+ There are 2 electric car chargers.
+ This hotel is next to the scenic railway that goes to the top of the mountain.
+ St. Wolfgang is one of the most beautiful alpine towns I've been to.

We had our breakfast on the terrasse with a view over Wolfgangsee. There is an awsome terrasse also on the lake-side infront of the hotel, with lounge-chairs, deck-chairs, beds etc. you could also get drinks from a refridgerator and bring it to the beach and relax ;)
We liked just about everything with this hotel. We had a lovely view of the lake from our room, there was an attractive garden actually beside the lake and they provided us most kindly with the facilities we needed to make breakfast (much appreciated when we arrived on a Sunday, in a self-catering establishment). We were well placed for the railway to go up the mountain, and for the boat on which to do a trip on the lake. St Wolfgang is a lovely village, and we really enjoyed our stay.
I came across the continent to visit Salzkammergut region, and got magnificent panorama through Seehaus Familie Leifer, apartment truly in perfect location, the room was absolutely clean, spacious, complete kitchenettes for basic cooking, short walk distance to every part of main attractions in St. Wolfgang, and Wi-Fi was good. Definitely recommended for every body who wants to stay in St. Wolfgang.

We had an amazing stay in this place! The view was super nice - right to the lake, very clean and spacious apartment, the landlords were very nice. They have also their own private access to the lake and there is amazing wellness&sauna place close to the accomodation. Also if you want to hike to Schafberg you can start from there, no need to drive to a different spot.
Absolutely fantastic place to stay in st Wolfgang. The host was a warm, courteous person who helped us a lot and lent us bicycles!
The rooms are very clean and cozy, especially the lake view room view is amazing. Also the hotel has the best value for money in the town with quiet spaces and a convenient location.

The apartments are excelent. Kitchen is well equiped. All was clean, but the lightning, having laps for reading, central light and LED lights below and above the beds was fantastic and very cosy. Bathroom with LED lights and build in radio was very enjoyable. We decided immediately to spent there our next holiday in Austrias Salzkammergut.
It was very good experience with outstanding hospitality specially from Miss Claudia where was very supporting. She took time to explain to us the place, the area and she helped us in setting our plan for the areaa and points of interests. It will be my first choice for future trips to Austria

We loved staying here. We had the top suite for 4 travelers, and it was more than perfect. The owners are a delight. Breakfast was huge, full of variety, fresh, and yummy. Even though the road to St. Wolfgang is in front of the hotel, we never really noticed it.
