We went for skiing.
We went for skiing. The ski resort is medium sized (19 km) with wide slopes in the forest, suitable for inexperienced skiers - like us :)
There are favorable prices for children under 10 years. The lifts are in good condition.
Must be nice in the summer as well.

It was excellent base camp for our motorcycle trips.
It was excellent base camp for our motorcycle trips. Covered parking place. Late check-in was smooth. The apartment was spacious, comfortable, well equipped. The description of the facility and photos was accurate.
We had great time at this hotel. The staff was super friendly, on the first night we arrived a bit later due to the traffic but they waited for us with the dinner. The food was excellent, great dinner and even better breakfast. The hotel is a bit old-fashioned, with nice but oldish furniture, overall that's not a problem since everything was functioning properly. The bar was open till 10 pm and we could take our drinks by the fireplace. The sauna and pool are a huge advantage as well as the location - close to the ski areal.
The environment as well as the appartement is fascinating. Lackenhof is a piece of treasure during summer. If you like hiking, love nature, you just cannot pick a better place. The options where to go or what to do are endless. It is a must-visit. The owner is a local guy (fluent also in English), who literally knows everything. Beyond the lovely appartement we got excellent insights and tips about destinations, restaurant, hiding treasures. Thank you, once again!
We visited Vienna for 2 days & came here for 2 days to Ski. Peter the Manager helped us so much with information about the Skiing and helped us book passes. The hotel & food is basic but well worth the money paid. The little town is just picture perfect with the little church & colourful houses . We loved it here & would definitely go back.
Very Big room, with an amazing view to the mountains, with a very big terrace, we enjoyed the sunrise there. the breakfast and dinner very good and delicious, the staff was very kind and available. we booked the same day and the price was perfect for all that we enjoyed in the hotel. i reccommend absolutely
The living room in the deluxe apartment is big enough for 12 people to play board games and have fun. 2 bathrooms were a nice to have. The Alps are amazing, downtown Lackenhof is a 10-minute-walk. Both apartments that we booked are very nicely furnished. Staff is reactive and helpful.
Rural atmosphere in the hotel was impressive. Friendly staff tries to fill all expectations. We had half board - breakfast and dinner were simply great. Relative close to the ski centers, but you can use ski shuttle - bus stop direct at the hotel. I recommend to taste local beer.
The apartment was spacious and well equipped. We loved the location, the property is located in quiet area at the end of the village. Cross country skiing trails are just in the front of the house and Lackenhof ski resort can be reached by car in couple of minutes.
The hospitality from the Hotel was excellent as well as the dinner menu, as its a half board option.
The owner/ Peter helped me a lot, with a small car accident enroute to the hotel; which i am really thankful of.
This budget hotel is really great for the money. Rooms are perfectly clean, beds are comfortable and it is a quiet location with great outdoor possibilities. The decor is a time travel, but in an enjoyable way.
Extremly confortable, 5* hotel beds! It looks like freshly upgraded. Kitchen very well equipped, pleasant surprise to get a starter pack of capsules (Nespresso).
good for bigger groups - lot of common space outside the hotel room to play desk games etc.
drinks / coffee available all night long in self service area
