It was my second stay here and I got a "one-person room" that was actually more like a suite, with a bedroom and a small, separate living room, a basic kitchen and a bathroom. The hotel still breathes a nostalgic charm of times long gone by.

My mother grew up there, so it like a home to me. It is a beautiful place and the capital of Carinthia. There is so much to see, albeit you need a car for some things, and Italy is only 3 hours away.

I grew up in Klagenfurt and it's a super nice little City. I would recommend visiting in summer as the city itself could be a bit boring in winter. But there is much to see and do in winter around Klagenfurt itself.

This place is the fairy-tale.
This place is the fairy-tale. We visited the place because of Andrea Bocelli performance, but it deserves to be visited anyway. There I have got the faster and bigger recovering/recharging in my life.

Everything was in within walking distance.
Everything was in within walking distance. Shopping restaurants and bars on our doorstop. The apartment was of very high standard and will stay here again without any hesitation. Most friendly people and very helpful with our English language. The places we visited were exceptionally clean. The lake is approximately 20mins drive away and a must to visit. Will definately return to this beautiful part of Austria

Don't go there in summer months as no AC are in the rooms I was told. Only 1 fan per room in 36 degrees was a joke. Old and used up matraces; better to sleep on the floor. Price for 1 night worth there: max 50 eur.

Beautiful and historic small city in range of lots of ski resorts. Airport is only minutes away and quiet. Plenty of good restaurants and not expensive. Klagenfurt is a proud city full of culture. People are friendly and helpful. Accommodation is fairly priced.
Weekends can be quieter than you would expect in a city. Saturday is a half day for retail and Sunday, well almost everything is closed. This makes for nice relaxed family weekends.
Viola, the owner, was extremely helpful in helping us with issues we had with the airline who lost our 1 suitcase. She phoned the airline and spoke to a rep in the Austrian language,which we could not do. Daily she greeted us with a smile and a very friendly disposition. She deserves an A plus for her human relations skills.Viola also lent us an adapter because our lost suitcase had ours. We cannot say enough positive things about Viola for she truly made the stay pleasurable with her caring disposition .
Great location - easy to get to by car and with garage included. The place was clean, pleasant and really there were no issues. The host also provides toiletries and coffee pods which is nice. The host was very nice, you can get the keys by calling her and the doors open. The apartment is right above a cafe which could be a nice option for breakfast but it's closed during the weekends (that's Austria thou).
Great location right in the heart of Klagenfurt and within walking distance of the restaurants, shops and sights.
The apartment had everything we needed including a Nespresso machine, microwave and dishwasher which was very useful.
The mattress was quite comfortable and the shower had good pressure and immediately hot water.
The flat is lovely and fully furbished, Maybe a microwave in the kitchen could be added. It is a big flat centrally located. It was very clean and there are not negative spots about the flat. The wifi was good and stable. Definitely my first choice if I will be back in Klagenfurt. The communication with the owner was easy.
Very pretty and clean rooms with comfy beds - we loved that the hotel promotes sustainability and offers lots of options to do sports (outdoor pool, indoor pool, gym). The indoor pool and the spa area were great - would definitely go there again. We used room service once and the food was delicious.
The experience in Jugend- und Familiengästehaus Klagenfurt was great. Everything was organized, cleaned, and well-maintained. At the check-in, the staff precisely explained all the details.
Finally, we appreciated the room setting and disposition and the breakfast service.
Excellent staff. They were extremely nice. We arrived late and despite this they welcomed us, allowed us to carry our bikes with us and even gave us a bigger room for the same price. The price is also very good compared to the rest of the places in Klagenfurt.
