The apartment was pristine clean, very well decorated. The balcony was huge and had a great view. This apartment is located at the Vital hotel property, there are people with permanent residence in this part of the building. When we visited the hotel was closed so couldn't visit the indoor spa and pool facilities. The owner Peter is a nice guy - he informed us beforehand about the situation. We were very troubled by the ongoing construction work in the next room during our stay, he provided proper communication and tried his best to help us out. Except for the noisy construction part, we had a good stay.
The residence was exceptional. The host was gracious and came by to ensure we would take advantage of what the residence could offer in comfort. The outdoor sauna was fantastic after a full day of excursions.

Perfect remote, private location.
Perfect remote, private location. A lot of attractions, towns, cities worth visiting are reachable by car from that location (e.g. Hallstatt, Obertraun, Salzburg). It‘s small but has everything you need for a few days vacation, grocery store and a few restaurants.

Beautiful location with lots to do, especially if you enjoy outdoor/adventure holidays: walking, hiking, biking and climbing etc. The views from the valley are beautiful though so also makes for a beautiful spot to relax with a good book. We will definitely be coming back!

We enjoyed the walking trail near our house. We also enjoyed trying to walk around the lake. It was pretty warm that day and I didn't get half way before my family said I probably needed to go back (age 81). Two of them made it all the way around but one daughter stayed with me. It was good advice to go back as I was pretty pooped by then. Two of them went up the gondola and two of us stayed behind. One of my daughters walked other various trails there and also went to the castle ruins. I loved looking at the beautiful mountains and everyone was mowing and making hay while we were there. Was interesting to see how different it was from the way we do it in America. Gosau and Hallstatt are two of my favorite places.

Gosau is a lovely place to stay.
Gosau is a lovely place to stay. The village is quite spread out, but this adds to the rural feel of village, which is very appealing. The residents are very friendly and helpful. The skiing is excellent. Gosau is well situated for short day trips to beautiful towns of Hallstatt and Bad Ishl. I could very easily live there full time. A charming place with incredible views from valley and whilst out skiing. Very good lift system out on mountains.

We loved Gosau.
We loved Gosau. Initially we wanted to stay in Hallstatt, but there were no available rooms for good price in any hotel there. So I checked the map for locations around and found Gosau. In the end it's so much better we've chosen Gosau as this place is so much more relaxed with not that many tourist. We'll definitely go back to this place if we are around. Highly recommended.
The house is a wonderful 3 storey building with an unobstructed view of the mountains and a really big and very nice terrace. It has two very clean and well-equipped bathrooms and a great functioning kitchen. The hosts were very helpful with everything and the check in and check out completely hassle-free.
The location is fantastic! You are very close to the magnificent Gosau lake with tons of activities around. Totally recommended for a group of friends - the house can sleep up to 7-8 people if you squeeze a bit.
The hotel is beautifully situated and the views are breathtaking. The hotel was modern and accommodated our stay with our dog. Breakfast was lovely and diverse and staff during breakfast very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean. Breakfast can be enjoyed inside or outside with amazing views, weather permitting. The coffee, tea and breakfast selection were very good and tasty. It was lovely to have a balcony, even though our view was on the parking lot.
The apartment was beautiful and well-equipped. Very comfortable for four people and a calm dog. The views from the apartment were stunning. Location was well-connected for walks in the woods and it was a quick drive to the Gosauseen and Hallstatt. We used the apartment as a place to recuperate from daily hikes. The windows were surprisingly good at keeping out the sounds of the incredibly loud church bells (that go off every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week).
Everything was amazing. The location was close to many beautiful hiking trails and the view from our window was breathtaking. The room was very Austrian-chalet with a great new, modern bathroom. Best of all was the proprietor, Gabriella who was very helpful, giving us great suggestions for hikes and who also got up early in the morning to prepare breakfast for us as we had to leave early. Would definitely return again
With a wonderful view of nature, this hotel is located in one of the most beautiful locations in Austria. The hotel was well mainted and extra towels apart from the bathrobe, all the necessary dishes for meals, and a new kitchen with very good equipment. Also, there were lavender on our pillows, which was a very nice detail. Thank you for everything : )
Peter’s apartment was neat and clean. We had ample space, with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The views are stunning. Peter is also a great host. It was a pleasure to interact with him and his family. The location, Gosau is also nice and secluded. Perfect if you have a car. Would 100% recommend checking out tbe Gosau lake for a good evening stroll.

Shared bathroom and shower is not the problem becuase there was not crowded. The room was nice and spacious. The location is close to gosausee and hallstatt. The view of the mountain is amazing. The parking was just there beside the hotel. The kitchen was good. Very good stay at very low price.

This is a brand new property with truely amazing views over the Gosau valley from the main bedroom and spacious patio table (seating for 4+). Fully equiped kitchen and very nice dinning area. We stayed 2 nights but will stay longer next time. Thanks Karo for a great stay.
There was no breakfast! Our hostess was great! Very friendly and helpful as to telling us things we could do there. Even had discount cards for various activities. We had a great time in Austria!
