The location was so refreshing after the first part of our vacation was visiting cities. Everything was so clean and we were able to do our laundry. We loved looking out the front door and seeing the mountains right there. The area is full of great activities and sight seeing. The house was perfect for my family to relax and be comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. Our hosts were so kind and helpful.

Beautiful small down town with typical Austrian arhitecture, murrals on amost eash builiding. We were in transit so one more days to explore the surronding would be great. Free downtown parking. The lady in info center were more than helpful and nice, she even opened the already locked info center door to give us brochures. We didn't have time so visit mini burg in very center, have seen it from outside only.

Golling was the perfect place to stay!
Golling was the perfect place to stay! They had everything we needed for our large group of 6 adults. Only minus is that we didn't have enough time to truly enjoy spending time in the house! We loved the comfortable decor and the charming town the most. The waterfall nearby was absolutely beautiful and the downtown area was very cute with lovely cafes and high end restaurants! The grocery store is only a few minutes drive away, and it had everything we needed. We traveled to Salzburg and Munich while we stayed here and thought it was a nice hub for our travels. SO many places and sites to see nearby as well!

We stopped here on a driving holiday travelling back to the UK from Croatia. This market town is really nice, some lovely shops, a good mix of tourist, good quality clothing, food and drink and curiosity shops. There are a good selection of restaurants to cater for all tastes. We didn't have a great deal of time here but would certainly revisit if travelling this way again.

Golling is located between Salzburg and Werfen. Both are easily accessible on the S Bahn and your free guest card gets you to Salzburg for free. Visit Werfen for a superb Where Eagles Dare castle tour and falconry show. Plenty of good restaurants in Golling.

A really gorgeous town with river, mountains, waterfall and so on. Easy to reach Salzburg and the lakes. There is a direct exit to Golling from the highway A10. Take care: the local roads are closed sometimes so only the residents are allowed the use them. So detours can take hours in the mountains. You can also reach Salzburg by train. The Eagle's Nest at Berchtesgaden and the Königsee is also very close.

Golling is beautiful and a great location either as an overnight stop or just a home base to hike around the area and explore nature.
However, keep in mind it is very quite, few people, there are barely good restaurants and it is really meant more for relaxation.

It's quite an old hotel in a very nice little town. The view is great and it's located right across an small old medieval castle, which you can visit. We stayed there just the one night on the way through to Italy, so that's perfect if for a short stay. Staff was friendly, and very Austrian :) So don't expect that fake American 'hospitality'. I'm dutch , so I thought the staff was pretty ok , seeing it;s a small mountain village with ~5k inhabitants.
Everything! superb location right next to the Salzach river and barely 2 km away from the Gollinger waterfall, apart from being barely half an hour from the Salzburg fort. The facilities in the house were top class - absolutely clean and nothing missing in terms of household equipment. Above all, the Neureiter family was so kind and considerate! Felt like home away from home!
Great breakfast. One day there was a plate of apfelstrudle, while the other day some other sweet alternatives. The owner will come and ask how you would like your eggs, which beats the classic “hard boiled egg or scrambled egg buffet”. The view, is without a doubt, the best we had in our trip. Best hotel we stayed in during our trip through Austria.
Clean, cosy and comfy. Breakfast is included, beds are comfortable, bathroom is modern. A balcony and a clean mountain air is an additional bonus. An elevator to bring the luggage to the room is very helpful.
We only stayed overnight and didn’t expect anything special but we loved the room and can definetely recommend this hotel!
On the hill of the mountains, excellent family hotel, for sure worth to stay more than one night only, spacious rooms, cleanness, comfortable big bed, all nature and spirits around, super breakfast with a lo of homemade things, super friendly staff, arriving late all was closed made for us antipasta plate and wine
Central location with a great restaurant. Private parking is available in this beautiful little town. All in town is within walking distance. Close to Salzburg, Hohenwerfen Castle and the falls.
Great staff, made us feel welcome , comfortable room , decent breakfast , great views of countryside , great location to travel to either Salzburg or Hallstatt , highly recommend
