The food is superb. And the staff are very friendly and always happy to help on all what needs. It’s not my first time in Mara but it’s the best place I have ever stay in Mara.

The organization of the camp was flawless, providing us with delicious meals, a safe environment, and a top-notch safari vehicle for our daily adventures. Speaking of meals, the culinary offerings at the resort were outstanding. They catered to our specific dietary needs and every dish was a delightful fusion of local and international flavors. If you're Indian, you'll definitely love the Masala Dosa, Phulka, and Butter Chicken - they were absolutely delicious! But the highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the safari experience. As an amateur wildlife photographer, I was thrilled with the expertise of our guides, Benson and Simat. They not only ensured our safety but also provided us with valuable insights and thrilling encounters with the wildlife. They understood the needs of a photographer and positioned the safari vehicle perfectly to capture those breathtaking moments. They even went the extra mile by providing a bed in the vehicle for my comfort, as I was experiencing back pain from all the photography. Overall, our stay at the Lorian was truly unforgettable. The attention to detail, the warm hospitality, and the incredible safari experience made it a trip of a lifetime. We can't wait to visit again!

Julia's River Camp offers accommodations in the heart of the Masai Mara Nature Reserve. Each tent looks onto the Talek River and has its own private veranda to enjoy the scenery. Spent 9 nights here. The location is great as you're sleeping in the park. Obadiah, the manager, was great. He helped me with everything from game drives to getting a covid test needed to depart. Dennis, my driver/guide, works for Julia's and was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable & kept in contact with the other guides so we didn't miss a river crossing (or anything else). We saw leopard, plenty of lion, cheetah, hyena, elephants, two river crossings (5000 animals each crossing), cheetah kill, hippos, buffalo, wild dogs, crocs, etc. Truly exceptional and once in a lifetime experience. The meals were great. I had pancakes, fresh fruit, & whip cream for breakfast. Eggs, etc are available. Value for money 10/10.

Jambo, Hands down the trip of a life time! At the heart of the trip is the amazing Fig Tree Camp. The camp is surrounded by wildlife. Hippos and baboons can be seen from the safety of your riverside tent. Make sure to bring a set of ear plugs as the hippos are extremely loud during twilight hours. Hyena can also be heard at night time with their signature ‘whoo up’ sounds. The camp is situated on the Talek River which makes it situated in the heart of the habitat of local wildlife. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, food is amazing and the pool is handy in between game drives. The bar area is a fantastic place to talk to other visitors about your experiences while enjoying coffee or a bottle of Tusker or Two, be sure to try a cocktail made by the Maasai Maras number one mixologist Gideon and his assistants. Where to start with the game drives. This has to be hands down the most enjoyable experience I have ever had. A four day game drive gave me the opportunity to see the ‘Big Five’ and everything else the Maasai Mara had to offer. The highlight of the trip has to be watching a large male Lion steal a kill from a clan of Hyena at sunrise. I was also fortunate enough to see three week old Lion cubs and four separate Leopards. A lioness was also chased into the bush by a herd of elephants and unbeknown, a Black Rhino came hurtling out of the bush. My guide and guardian Johnathan was on point everyday and knew where to find the local wildlife. I also had the opportunity to visit a Maasai Village and experience the culture of the legendary Maasai Warriors. Ashnil Mara Camp is located in the Maasai Mara National Reserve overlooking the Mara River, famous for the wildebeest migration. It features a swimming pool and a souvenir shop. Love this camp. Right in the heart of Mara reserve. View of river is lovely. Not all rooms have view but lodge view is top. Hippos and crocodiles in river. Great sounds at night. Lovely location for exploring Mara. Staff was amazing. Great food and so nice. Hope I return one day

Located in Masai Mara, Giraffe Hills Mara Camp has a restaurant and a bar. The hotel features family rooms. At the hotel, rooms are equipped with a balcony. The staff was courteous and very helpful. The food was very good. The site is an excellent camping facility with a hotel vibe.

Greenwood Camp is a great base for your safari trip to the Masai Mara. The camp itself is peaceful and beautifully situated next to the park. All facilities are clean and well maintained and the food is great! Magdy, the owner of the camp, is super helpful and will make sure that you get the most out of your stay, including organizing safari drives and transport back and forth to Nairobi if necessary. As an added bonus, the camp is frequently visited by monkeys, antelopes and warthogs, so you almost don't have to go to the Masai Mara to feel that you are on a safari!
