Featuring a garden, Machrie View provides accommodations in Port Ellen. Both free Wifi and parking on-site are available at the vacation home free of charge. The house was well situated between port Ellen and Bowmore, making it an ideal location for exploring the island. The kitchen was very well equipped.

Glenegedale House offers accommodations in Glenegedale and is located 5 miles from Port Ellen and 6 miles from Bowmore. Each room includes a flat-screen TV. Our hosts Emma and Graeme made us feel very welcome. The breakfast is a feast in itself! Three courses of locally sourced products cooked to perfection. There’s even the option for a tot of single malt on your porridge! The place is spotlessly clean and extremely well decorated, residents have the full run of the downstairs where they can relax in the comfy sofas and enjoy a G&T from the amazing selection of Scottish gins. They also provide evening meals and will happily cater for any special dietary requirements provided you let them know in advance. If you choose to eat out, there are good restaurants in Bowmore, the cleverly named Peatzeria and, in Port Ellen, the Sea Salt Bistro and the Islay Hotel. A visit to one or more of the distilleries on Islay is a must as is a trip to Jura and the wonderful Lussa gin distillery at the far end of the island. Would we stay there again. Absolutely…

Featuring a fitness center and a garden, Machrie Hotel & Golf Links is located just outside Port Ellen. This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. Views over the golf course and across the water were amazing. Spectacular sunsets.

Located in Port Ellen, No. 1 Charlotte Street has a garden, shared lounge, bar, and free WiFi. The rooms in the hotel are fitted with a coffee machine. Fantastic cooked breakfast, you won’t be hungry when you leave the breakfast room! The location by the bay is very good, with a pub just next door and two restaurants not far.

The Trout Fly Guest House offers accommodations in the center of Port Ellen, minutes from the ferry terminal and only 3 miles from our local airport. Our host was extremely knowledgeable and was on top of the ferry schedule changes. The shower was excellent and the room very comfortable. Great location in Port Ellen.

Niall was so welcoming and accomodating and the room is exactly as described with a gorgeous view of the beach and a stones throw from a restaurant, takeaway, pub, and post office! It is a perfect location to explore Islay and just around the corner from the start of the 3 distilleries walk.

On Islay’s famous Whiskey Coast, in the fishing village of Port Ellen, overlooking the harbor and marina and just 2 hours by ferry from Kennacraig on the Scottish mainland, The Islay Hotel offers a... Location was great - easy walk to the whisky trail. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Cala Sith Guesthouse offers accommodations in Port Ellen, a 2-minute walk from White Hart Beach and 1.3 miles from Kilnaughton Beach. all perfect. really good room condition, very nice view, very kind people.

The Bowmore Lodge features accommodations in Bowmore. Guests staying at this guest house have access to free Wifi. Coral was really helpful. The place was exceptionally clean. We stayed for 2 nights and found it a great location .
