The house was well situated between port Ellen and Bowmore, making it an ideal location for exploring the island. The kitchen was very well equipped.

Glenegedale House offers accommodations in Glenegedale and is located 5 miles from Port Ellen and 6 miles from Bowmore. Each room includes a flat-screen TV. Every detail in the house has been cararefully thought and chosen, very sophisticated and cozy. Emma and Graeme wonderful hosts.

Featuring a fitness center and a garden, Machrie Hotel & Golf Links is located just outside Port Ellen. This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. The hotel is located in a charming location, surrounded by green fields, mostly arranged for golf, and in the distance you can see the sea. Although the hotel is designed primarily for golfers, I have nothing in common with this sport, but I still felt the energy and joy of being part of this atmosphere. The diner was very tasty and presented in an very elegant way, the restaurant staff very kind and polite. Breakfast was diverse and delicious, served in an place with a beautiful view of surroundings.

Located in Port Ellen, No. 1 Charlotte Street has a garden, shared lounge, bar, and free WiFi. The rooms in the hotel are fitted with a coffee machine. I got an unexpected upgrade, and the staff were really amazing. I had a night flight and they let me leave my bag to go explore during the day and were happy to let me lounge there until it was time for me to leave for the airport. Will definitely stay again if I’m ever back.

The Trout Fly Guest House offers accommodations in the center of Port Ellen, minutes from the ferry terminal and only 3 miles from our local airport. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Room was cosy and shower was good.

Large comfortable room, the hotel were very responsive to my request to extend our stay and very helpful with dinner reservations.

Cala Sith Guesthouse offers accommodations in Port Ellen, a 2-minute walk from White Hart Beach and 1.3 miles from Kilnaughton Beach. I can’t say enough nice things about this place! We booked rather last minute and it was the only place left in town. We weren’t expecting much but boy were we surprised! We had a room with a detached prive bath which was clean, conveniently located and much easier than it sounds. The room was so quiet and comfortable. By far the best part was the staff!! A rather large storm came through, canceling the ferries and forcing us to change plans. AJ was SO helpful with weather, ferry schedules and even packed us a breakfast to go as we had to leave early. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to my friends.
